I’ve lost track of how many different times and different formats I’ve bought this movie haha, but with this 4K remaster, this is definitely the best version to date. It provides both the widescreen 4K remaster and the full frame blu ray edition with some great special features. If you’re a fan of this film and don’t mind buying ANOTHER copy of it, definitely worth adding to your collection.

An Okay Animated Film that Ties Into a Great Game

This movie is…. Okay. When compared to how well fleshed out the story and characters were in the first game, the story in this movie falls short in comparison. It hits a lot of the major plot elements, but doesn’t succeed where the game did in further building out the story and providing reasons for each character’s alligence for their stance on the issue. Also, the ending is so abrupt it gives you whiplash. This probably would’ve been better/stronger if the animated movie had been structured to be a prelude with the events leading up to where the story kicks off in the first Injustice game. This isn’t a horrible movie by any means and presents a lot of the most compelling parts of the game’s story, but ultimately just feels like a watered down version of something that was better executed years earlier.

This is a very solid follow up to “Scorpion’s Revenge”. Things pick up where the last movie leaves off, and does well in introducing several new characters from the franchise to further build out the world and the lore.
The continued benefit of these animated movies is the good-use of hyper-violence and well choreographed fight sequences. Nothing is done in excess and works well in telling story while still delivering on captivating spectacle.

The franchise gets to take a huge leap forward from the benefit of years in maturation and character development to deliver a cohesive storyline and narrative that goes beyond the 2-dimensional world of the side scrolling fighting games, much in the same way the recent games have.
This is a great entry point for any modest fans of the franchise to familiarize you with some of the most iconic, long-standing characters of the franchise and puts forth a solid, succinct story that sets up well to the sequel.

Some good fun that allows the cast to really have fun with the characters and is a bit more than your standard action film. I wouldn’t say it’s as good as the John Wick films, but is a bit better than Atomic Blonde.
Definitely worth adding to your collection if you’re an action fan.

Another Great Animated Batman Film

DC Comics continues to knock it out of the park with their animation. This is a great first installment to a classic Batman story and sets things up well for Part II. The animation and approach to the source material is very much inspired by The Godfather just as the original comic is and also has good touch points back to the 90’s animated series, embracing the film noir aesthetic.
The action is great and entertains from start to finish. Definitely works well as a stand alone, but I can imagine it’ll only get better watching it as a full story once part II comes out next month.

If your were ever a fan of the original arcade game and the subsequent games over the decades, this is a pretty enjoyable watch. The story itself is fairly basic with a lot of elements of fan service.
The special features are pretty decent and provide some good behind the scenes looks at the making of the film.

I’m not usually a fan of bulk movie sets, but something like this is where I make the exception. While the presentation itself is pretty basic, the disc holders are sturdy and the image quality is great. Also the discs include all the special features of past releases.
One big win to me was the inclusion of the digital redemption codes. As someone who embraces both physical and digital media, this was a HUGE value add.

Without a doubt, this is the most definitive collection set of Star Trek The Original Series containing all episodes (including the original pilot episode), all special features, all the original series movies, and the animated series.
I would say that my only complaint is the lack of a printed episode guide and overall booklet. The disc cases and housings Marlee should are good and definitely makes the set easy to store and keeps the discs safe and easy to take out. Worth purchasing for a great value if you’re seeking to have all aspects of the original series on blu ray.

This set contains all episodes and all special features contained on the individual season sets.
