Compex - AYRE Wireless Rapid-Recovery Compression Boots - Black
Compex - AYRE Wireless Rapid-Recovery Compression Boots - Black
Feel relief aid anywhere, anytime with Compex® Ayre™ compression boots. Designed for therapists, coaches, elite and recreational athletes on-the-go, Ayre is a therapeutic product using intermittent pneumatic compression. When exercising, the body builds up lactic acid as a biproduct of muscle contraction. Ayre compression boots work to break up these small molecules and send stimulus to your nervous system. These compression boots are designed to help improve blood flow and circulation in the legs by mobilizing lactic acid, access fluids, and other toxins. Compex Ayre uses a dynamic pulsing compression up the limbs in waves for the duration of its use, which helps promote quick healing. Sit back, power up the boots, and enjoy your recovery for up to 60 minutes anywhere on a single charge.

I am an avid runner, ran couple marathons, several half marathons, and 15k races. I use Theragun percussion massage gun, TENS units, handheld massagers, powered roller foams, etc. as my post workout recovery devices. I have seen my friends using NormaTec leg compression boots and I tried it once and fell in love with compression boots, but the high price tag made me think twice. The Compex AYRE changed my perspective that you can get the same experience at a lower price tag that is truly portable and comes without the extra cords. I love the fact that I can wear it for an hour, with one full charge, and let it do its work while lying on my couch after my exhaustive runs. The device settings are pretty simple, just power ON and chose between 2 mode settings. It also lets you change the compression pressures individually in each of the four chambers in the F2 mode, which I found helpful as I prefer higher compression settings in the lower chambers. I tried this unit for 3 weeks and amazed on how fast I recover from the lactic acid build up in my leg muscles after my endurance runs and am ready for my next day run without muscle soreness. Can't comment on its durability yet, as I had it for 3 week so far and used it about 10 times so far and am in love with it. It comes with a two year warranty. It's made of high quality material and I simply used Clorox wipes to wipe off the sweat in the inside compression chambers to prevent odor buildup.
Love the carrying case and it now goes with me anytime I travel for races - super portable and love the fact that it doesn't come with cords. I would definitely recommend this for athletes looking for high quality compression boots at an affordable price tag, from a well know brand among sports personnel!

Portable compact printer designed for people on the go! Recommend getting the battery pack (LK-72, costs $99) if you want it to be truly portable. Set-up was a breeze, took me less than 5 minutes to get it connected to my home Wi-Fi (5 GHz) and was able to print my first doc as soon as the set-up was complete. It took me a bit to figure out how to switch networks from home Wi-Fi to my Verizon MiFi hot spot and to configure it to a "wireless direct" print option. All the magic happens when you select the "settings" icon that is displayed on the LCD screen, which wasn't quite obvious the first time I looked at the screen as I kept searching the app for settings option. It goes without saying "when everything else fails, read the manual". The online printer manual link on the canon app came in handy for instructions on how to configure, change settings, connect to cloud, etc. I was able to print documents off of my IPAD (over Wi-Fi), smart phone (Wi-Fi), and PC (via google cloud printer) with all the devices connected to my Verizon WiFi hot spot. I saw couple custom template options on the settings and haven't explored those yet, but I see them coming handy to print custom forms on the go. Haven't tried the USB option to connect the printer directly to the PC, but might be good option when you are not connected to the internet. I noticed the printer does consume quite a bit of ink when you choose high quality prints so be ready to shell out ~$40 for replacement cartridges.
Overall, I like this printer and it is compact and portable even though it's a bit pricey for a portable printer, but definitely avoids the misery of running around to find a printer or begging someone else to get you copy of your presentation when you are on the move.

This is a good handy light weight vacuum for pet owners for a quick clean. The HEPA filter does a good job in trapping pet hair and dander, love the upholster attachment. Good for travel and took it with me when I went on a road trip. Used it for quick car clean ups when I hit the beach. Suction power above average but not as strong enough as the ones I currently own. Its a pricey for a little above average vacuum cleaner, but a good handy tool for small jobs - cleaning electronic equipment, air vents, and car interior. It can easily get into the tight corners, easy to hold and maneuver. It has a long lasting battery (30+ mins) with a quick charger. . Hoover makes quality products, own a carpet cleaner and had it for several years, and never had any issues with it.

It’s a 1100w, stainless steel microwave, matches well with kitchen decor, that incorporates a novel sensor cook technology. I was curious to see what differentiates this microwave from others and the answer was clear, the sensor cook technology - this technology takes the guess work out of your cooking. I did test it with potatoes and set it to 10 mins and I saw it automatically dialed back to 6 minutes as it cooked the potatoes. There is one caveat to using this technology, don't open the microwave door during the cooking process as this technology relies on the steam generated during the cooking process to figure out how far along are you, on the cooking process. Rest of the features are common to most of the microwaves you find in the market. It has 10 automatic cooking mode for common recipes with turbo defrost feature that you commonly find in most of the microwaves in this price range.
This one is priced a little more for the same spec, but with the sensor cook technology and a well known brand that backs you with a five year warranty on parts and one year warranty on labor. I would definitely recommend going with this technology for few extra bucks- takes the guess work out of your cooking.
BTW- this is not a convection (circulates air for even cooking) microwave that most of us are used to. I like the buttons and the dial for a change though!

Has a nice fabric like touch to it, rugged, well-built, and protects the iPad from accidental drops - the case fully covers the lip and the corners. The combo touch keyboard has full function keyboard with the iPad shortcuts on the top row, back lit keys, and a precision touch pad that is very responsive and has a glass like touch to it. This keyboard turned my iPad into a computer. The keys are smooth, has a nice touch to it and very responsive. I now use my iPad to edit documents, spreadsheets, write emails, etc.
This keyboard takes the browsing experience to whole new level as the track pad brings in the same functionality that you have on regular PC - can easily scroll through the web pages, zoom in/out using two finger touch, flip through apps with right/left swipe, etc. The kickstand is amazing and allows me to view the iPad at different angles - read/sketch/type, etc. No need to charge the keyboard, it auto pairs (connects to smart connector) when it latches on the iPad, and turns ON/OFF when you open/close the keyboard. My only complaint is the keyboard sometimes detaches itself easily when I tried to handle the iPad with the keyboard open, not big deal, just have to get use to holding it with both hands.
Overall, it's an amazing keyboard that literally converts your iPad into a PC and highly recommend it for avid users. It’s the best iPad keyboard I ever owned and it's worth every penny!!

I have been a Gillette power razor user for decades and got excited when I saw this heated razor, and was eager to try it out. I have a thick beard and prefer to shave in a steamy shower. I also use the shaving brush with shaving gel to soften my skin before I shave. I did a two week test and tried the heated Gillette razor on one side and my usual powered razor on the other side of my face. In the steamy shower I didn’t see any difference in my skin sensitivity between the heated and the powered razor, and both offered a close shave. I don't have any razor bump issues if I warm my skin before I shave. So for being a shower user I didn’t notice any difference between the heated and powered razor. The heated razor got hot enough that I decided to try it out without warming my face (cold shave) and I did see some difference in the quality of the shave. Felt like the powered razor was pulling the hair off my chin while the heated razor did offer a bit smoother shave, so it does help for someone who doesn't shave in a steamy shower or uses a heated towel to soften their skin before their shave. Overall I didn’t see much value for the heated razor and probably would try it out if it were powered and heated razor. The razor does heat quickly though and didn't feel like it softened the skin enough for me to switch to cold shaves. I feel like it takes few seconds for the heat to penetrate the skin to soften the hair follicles for a smoother shave and the heated razor heat was more ephemeral.
It was tough for me to justify the value I get from the pricey razor and the custom blades you need for this razor. Can't comment on the durability as I only tried it for 2 weeks (6 shaves). It is well built and has a magnetic stand that charges the razor. It heats up fast and reaches 120 degF in few seconds and I didn't have any problem using it in the shower. The will need a safe carrying case for travel to prevent it from accidentally turning itself ON.

This a new compact battery powered PA system that JBL released early this year. This falls into compact PA system which is good for small gatherings, backyard parties, and performances. Its rugged, light, and can be easily handled with one hand (weighs about 17 pounds) that comes with a swappable battery ($99 additional battery) for extended use. It is packed with features that you want in a PA system for multi-use - Home Speaker, Karaoke or connect it to various musical instruments for performances. I did get to test few features and am impressed with its performance. This has lot of features and needs some learning to fine tune the settings to match your room settings or preferences. It didn't come with a user manual but you can download it from their website. I took it out for a presentation and was impressed with its battery life (lasted 8+ hrs) and the powerful sound it delivered in a 15X80 feet conference room. Recommend getting a pole mount/tripod stand to maximize its performance in larger rooms. Also, I liked the fact that it had a battery level indicator so you know if you are close to running out of battery and the two USB ports on it are handy and keep your mobile devices charging while using the speaker.
Features:
• App - Recommend downloading the app before you start using it. The app offers customizable settings to match your room settings. It took me a while to learn the features on the app and it has a Demo mode for you to get acquainted with the settings. I had my friend borrow it for a performance at a backyard wedding party. He used his iPad (rested on the speaker slot) to fine tune the settings, as its lot more convenient to play with the controls on a iPad screen and not have to reach out to the PA system to access the knobs on the back. It took him about 5 minutes to fine tune the PA system and be ready for the performance.
• Features: It’s a 4 channel digital mixer with 4 band equalizer for each channel with ton of options to match your settings. I used the perform and speech mode with different band settings that automatically set the Gain, Freq and Width. Be sure to check out the LEXICON & dbx effects on the app if you are a music professional. One thing I noticed when I was using it for Karaoke (with two mic's connected) is that it lowered the background music when the performers started to sing and this enhanced our karaoke experience and made it more lively. All the controls and knobs on the back of the system are illuminated with LED/circular green lights which serve as indicator on the current settings you have it tuned for. Recommend spending some time with the user manual to figure out all the settings and controls for the PA system. I dabbled around with the settings on the app and the system, and found it difficult to get it tuned to the right settings the night I wanted to use, and eventually took to reading the manual to figure out the right settings I needed to match my tastes. The bass levels were a little lower even at max volume which was a little odd given the size of the speaker. I briefly tried the guitar input and was amazed by the sound quality it delivered. I let my friend, who owns a bass guitar, borrow it for a day. He was impressed and blown away with its performance and decided to get one for himself. I use it as bluetooth speaker for my day to day use and have it connected to my phone all the time.
Overall I recommend this PA system and its designed for all different occasions and packed with ton of features and provides with the ability to fine tune the settings to match your tastes.

Its packed with ultra-rich sound for a small form factor and is very portable. Took me less than 5 minutes to get this device setup and get connected to my google home app. Was able to stream music to this device via chromecast. I was little skeptical on the volume and the bass it can deliver when I initially saw how compact it was, but changed my opinion when I played some music and cranked up the volume to max. I can compare the volume levels with the sound bar connected to my TV. The sound quality is good with max volume setting and the sound was still crisp and clear, didn't get muffled at all. Can be used as office speaker system for your computer or as an outdoor mini boom box, delivers good bass for its size. It’s a little pricey for the features it offers, could have justified the price if it had a built in rechargeable battery. It definitely can't compete with the name brand ones in that price range and the sound quality.
Overall the sound quality is good and have no complaints on it at all. The cell phone wireless charger on the device is handy and I had this set on the side stand right beside my bed. It's a fast charger too and didn't have any issues (like overheating the phone, etc.) having my phone set on it overnight. It has a built in Mic and can connect to your phone via bluetooth. Didn't have any issues answering the calls when connected to it via bluetooth. You can connect it to your TV (via bluetooth) if you live in a small apartment and want the same sound experience as a sound bar.

My review of Theragun Pro (gen 4, released in May 2020) is based on my past experiences with TENS units (own 4 different ones -$$$) and various handheld massagers (3 massagers - $$$). This product falls in the high end of the price range on the massagers I current own. I am an avid runner (compete in marathons, avg 500 miles/yr ) and relied on several devices to help with muscle recovery after my endurance runs. I have been on quest to find the best massager that can help me speed up with the recovery process . TENS units have been my favorite for first few years as they offered different programs/settings for different areas of my body, but they had their own downsides with limited life on the expensive TENS pads. I switched to handheld massager/percussion guns which were more durable and offered the deep muscle stimulation that immediately reduced muscle tension and soreness after my runs. They came with their own disadvantages with not being able to program varying speeds nor run any custom programs like the TENS units. The new Theragun Pro solved this problem with the pre-programmed routines/settings (accessed via the side buttons) that automatically steps up and down the speed. Also, the Therabody App (connects to the device via bluetooth) walks you through different routines and lets you add two new settings to the device. I used the recovery and the tech neck routines so far and still exploring other routines. I still need to figure out on how to link the Therabody app to the Samsung health app on my phone.
Theragun has been the most popular percussion massagers among my fellow athletes and I owned a different brand. This is my first Theragun device and I used it every day for a week and my friends who owned the older versions of Theragun tried this unit and were impressed with some the changes Theragun brought in the new unit. You can definitely tell the new Pro is way quiter than the previous model. Listed below are some of the specific features that I was looking for on this devices and my ratings on each of these features
Performance (5/5): The adjustable speed and ability to run pre-programmed settings (varying speed) is a big plus for muscle recovery (specially my Quads, Hamstrings and Calves). I like to start with low speed and gradually let the program increase the speed in steps to the max setting and step it down. I have a high tolerance for pain and this high powered percussion therapy gun definitely reduced my recovery time after my endurance runs. This beats my other devices on performance specially the speed, the amplitude, and the force it offered. I pretty much hit the max force on it while massaging my quads and didn't see it stall. The Therabody app offers the ability to program my own routines (2 new settings). Also, the LCD screen does show how much force you are applying on the muscle which is a gently reminder me to back off when I get close to tender muscles/bony areas, but would like to use the full power on my shoulders and back muscles. It also has a pre-programmed common setting which can be accessed via the side buttons on the device. It comes with 2 batteries with a total run time of 300 minutes. I used it continuously for 35 mins in one session and didn't see any issues with the gun getting hot, which was a major complaint on my other device, and I let others use it after I was done.
Ergonomics (5/5): I like the adjustable arm which offers full body reach without compromising on its power and the ability to use different attachments at various angles. I like that it has six attachment and I especially like the wedge attachment that is very effective in post treatment to flush out the lactic acid build up in my leg muscles. I recommend trying that attachment on quads, hamstring, and calves for runners who like to reduce their recover time after endurance runs.
Durability (5/5): Its well-built (commercial grade) and definitely on par with the ones I owned. It’s a bit on the heavier side, but that doesn't bother me as I am interested in its power and ability to handle it with one hand, and something that is rugged doesn't break if I accidentally drop it. It comes with a rugged carrying case.
Noise levels (4/5): Noise level isn't that bad on this device and it didn't bother me when I used it outdoors and inside my house. I have seen few that my friends own that sounded like a jigsaw which are only good for outdoor use, but you can only use it for so long before you get annoyed with the high pitch noise.
I am thoroughly impressed by the Theragun Pro and looking to pick up the mini massager for travel, and eagerly waiting to test their vibrating foam roller.
Overall I rate it 5/5 and something I would like to see on the app is the ability to preprogram routines (e.g. varying speed and time) that you want to run on the percussion gun which currently limits to 3 settings on the devices (one that can be accessed via the side button and other two via the Therabody app). This unit is built for serious athletes who are looking for durability and uncompromising performance. This falls on the high end on the price range and is well built to last for years. There are other new versions of Theragun with a lower price tag for less serious users.

Had the Backbeat 5100 for over a week and used it on a 6 hr flight journey and walked around the city taking calls. Plantronics backbeat 5100 lives up to its name when it comes to call quality. I can relate the call quality to the Plantronics bluetooth headset I use at work. Used it for 6 straight hrs without having to charge the headset at all. Had to update the software right out of the box, took about 20 mins. Paring was easy and the app has several customization options (settings icon on the top right) to configure the functions on the buttons, primary earbud, etc.
Features
1) Compact design and very comfortable (find the right ear tip!) to wear it for long hours. I like the fact that it has buttons and touch sensors instead of just the touch sensors on the earbuds which can be annoying sometimes when handling the earbuds. The case has enough charge to get the earbuds going for 19 hrs. The app showed an hour listen time left after using it for approximately 6 hr. The app shows listen time left for on the left ear bud and the right. The backbeat 5100 supports the use of only one earbud (primary earbud - configurable to left or right) for calls, which I like when answering calls at work. Turning on for the first time was a little tricky, had to power on both left the right earbuds. The app has the user guide and video's on how to use it.
2) Call Quality - The call quality is amazing and didn’t have any issues using it in the noisy environments (airports, city streets, etc.). The call quality is on par compared to the 10 different earbuds that I currently own ($200- $300 price range)
3) Sound Quality (for music lovers) - I wasn't completely impressed by the sound quality and being an audiophile I would have to rate this as medium compared to the ones ($200 price range) I currently own. I rate it high on base, average on the mid tones, and average on the clarity/crispness. The earbuds need some breaking in before you can actual rate it on the sound quality - will have to use it for at least 25+ hrs to judge the real sound quality. I used these on my morning runs and didn't have any issues with sweat accumulating on the earbuds - rated IP54
Something that is different on these earbuds compared to the 10 other earbuds I own is the Smart Sensor function - this lets your route the calls from your phone to one or two earbuds as soon as you pick up and automatically pauses the music when you take any of the earbud off of your ear.
Overall I rate it exceptional for call quality and good for sound quality (for heavy music listeners) and can definitely be compared with earbuds on the market that are in ~150+ price range. My only complaint is that the app doesn't let you configure the earbud's buttons to mute/unmute your calls, which I feel is important for people who spent long hours in meetings.

Can you connect your Surface Pro 8 to a big monitor ?

Yes, I have it connected to two 32 inch 4k curved gaming monitors using a dock with a USB C cable running between the dock and the Pro 8 thunderbolt 4/USB C port. You can also directly connect to the monitors using a USB C/thunderbolt 4 ports on the Pro 8. Pro 8 doesn't have HDMI or USB ports.

Do the newer ARLO camera systems still have the 15-30 second lag time from motion in front of cameras and that being relayed to your handheld device or laptop. even when watching "Live"? Don't want to upgrade if lag still exists in new system.

i did see a lag probably 5-7 seconds, definitely not 15-30 sec like the first gen Arlo. It also depends on our home internet speed and cell phone wireless signal strength.

At what distance will the new ultra cameras pick up at night time?

This has quite a bit of range, you can program the "activity zones" on the app. Attached few pic from my front yard, have a big driveway and it did detect cars at the end of my driveway at night

Does this work in extreme cold temperatures? What is the minimum temperature that it will still function? The older systems did not work well in cold temperatures.

The spec says good for operating temperatures ranging from -20 degC (-4degF) to 45 degC (113 degF)

One of my Roku Tv's Wi-Fi is weak.It keeps going into loading and stops what ever is on Tv.Its the the room furthest from where the main WiFi , internet box is.Would this router make this problem go away?

Its a very powerful router and supports 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz speeds. I have 22 devices connected to this router and streamed 4k content on simultaneous devices in a 3500 sq ft home. Just make sure you have the right modem (dual-band). This has a capability to extend your wifi range with Volpo nodes (wi-fi range extenders)
