The sets are grungy & the violence level is very, very high. The shiniest things around are the weapons & Judge Dredd's costume. The dialogue is just as silly as the original Dredd movie, but Karl Urban's more articulate & smiles a bit more. It's a guilty pleasure & Karl Urban is pure eye candy! Not a movie for small children, so wait until after their bedtime & break out the popcorn.

This set contains the entire series & the price is quite low. I enjoyed the first couple seasons more than the later ones, but it's nice to have the complete set. It's a birthday gift & my husband liked it!

There are a few scenes that may be too scary for small children, but in general this is a surprisingly good expansion to the Harry Potter universe. They really give it the feel of the US in the late '20s, after WWI & just before the depression. I loved all the new magic creatures & Newt's attitude of compassion & care is refreshing in the realm of Wizardly arrogance. It neatly leads into the next movie, but the major themes are resolved by the end of this movie, so it doesn't feel like much of a cliff-hanger. I bought one for my husband & one for my sister.

What's great about it: Bond as usual, fights & explosions.
What's not so great: Bond getting disgusted with government politics & a spy's life.
Not the best or the worst Bond movie. Lots of special effects on fights & explosions, of course. Some cute snark between Bond, Q & the new M. Bond rides off into the sunset in his restored Aston-Martin (Thanks, Q) with a female by his side, done being a spy forever...Riiight! I expect another Bond movie will begin shooting soon, with or without Daniel Craig.

I've watched Bones from the beginning & the most interesting episodes & seasons were the ones with a lot of interesting & unusual science in the cases. The long arcs with serial killers are not their best work. More time is devoted to personal problems within the team, too. It's not the best season, but has interesting moments, OK for fans.

A new set of actors playing the familiar roles isn't a major improvement, but it contains lots of action sequences & special effects. I was disappointed that Hugh Jackman wasn't doing Wolverine again, but it was a decent enough entry in the MARVEL pantheon.

I had to get this season to finish my series set. Neil's relationship with his FBI handler deepens into friendship with him & his wife. His friend Mozzie calls Elizabeth 'Mrs Suit', which is sweet. Constant twists & turns & Neil still looking into the mystery of the treasure. It's a fun & exciting season. Picture quality OK & usual extras, I haven't looked at those yet.

What's great about it: We know the plot, but Mowgli's always a great story.
What's not so great: A little more PC than the last versions.
I've watched all the other versions of Mowgli & so had to get this one too. Live action's always quite a bit different than animation and this one makes full use of the advances in special effects. The buffalo stampede is particularly effective.
The wild animals may be a tiny bit scary for very young kids, but the story's lots of fun for the rest of us!

I watched part of this mini-series at a friend's house & bought this to watch the rest. It's complex & occasionally a bit confusing. The rebirth of magic in Britain in the Victorian era...or is it? You decide.. Sort of 'Harry Potter' meets 'Jane Austin'. Beautiful costuming. Good value.

I bought this for a friend as a present, but the DVD lists the full season plus extras. The TV episodes I've caught are fascinating, watching excellent actors become new characters than the ones I'm used to seeing them as. They're very believable in their new roles & the tension & menace feels real. Undercover cat & mouse at it's most dangerous!
I may have hooked myself into watching the 2nd season by this purchase *g*

Both my new Kindles have a back-lit screen (with adjustable brightness) so they don't need a separate light. Brighter light = slightly faster battery use.
Some electronics stores take electronic items for recycling, or check for recycling centers near your zip code with your municipality (city, Twp., county).
All my Amazon books appeared on my new Kindle when I registered it with Amazon as mine. Copies are still on my 1st Kindle, too.
