What's great about it: Fun animals acting out human stereotypes

What's not so great: Light fun, over-exaggerated acting & stereotypes.

I bought this for an early start on Christmas shopping and because the story was a zany romp. The rabbit wanting to join the police force was both an 'underdog suceeding' plot and a quietly pointed lesson on just what jobs women can do when they put their mind to overcoming prejudice.
Kids will focus on the fun parts & hopefully absorb the universal acceptance message along the way.
It's no longer an Old-Bull, er...Old-BOY network any more!

The DVDs are fine, some fun extras. This season was not NCIS' best, the actors seem dis-spirited & Mark Harmon's acting was flat the first part of the season. Plotline was another extended arc, with all the weaknesses that involves. *SPOILER ALERT* Zeva's story comes to an end (or does it?) with a surprise & Tony DiNozzo/Michael Weatherby's departure was foreshadowed by several episodes' worth of saying goodbye to his co-workers. The whole show seems to be winding down, but they've signed for more seasons & are adding new actors. We can hope for a revival starting fresh next season. I bought it to complete the set & because individual episodes had merit. I'd recommend it, as long as people understand it's shortcomings.

I bought this set because the Iron Man movies are slam-bang, humorous fun and this 3 movie set was barely more than 1 movie by itself! They'll be great for an evening of entertainment with the family & some popcorn. Very small children might be a bit scared at some of the explosions & villains.

What's great about it: The two leads still turned in great acting.

What's not so great: Dark, endless conspiracy plotline

I'm still following this show for the acting, but this season's endless gov't conspiracy plotline with a much darker tone is much less exciting. Weaker writing than seasons 1-3. Loss of a secondary lead was supposed to shake things up, eh. Still some twists & turns & excitement to watch.

I bought this as a present, because it was Sherlock & the superb actor Ian McKellen. A movie about Sherlock in his declining years wasn't as appealing as a plot, but I remembered how good a job George C. Scott did in 'They Might Be Giants' & decided to risk it. The DVD was fine and I wasn't very interested in extras, so the sale price made it an easy choice.

What's great about it: Still the neat 'save the number/person' every week & cute leads

What's not so great: Dreary gov't conspiracy plot & much darker tone

I'm still very interested in the show.. They do have some strong, exciting episodes, but the tone of the show is getting darker- could be an. Interesting twist & I'll follow it into next season. The two leads play off each other superbly.

What's great about it: Sexy lead actors & great acting

What's not so great: Use of multiple split screens look 'techy', are hard on the eyes.

Exciting, thoughtful & a little scary look at the weaponization of modern information technology. Definitely 'Robin Hood' theme, with the good guys working outside the law for justice. The two male leads are extremely easy on the eyes, and can act, as well! The only drawback is the use (several times each episode) of computer screen readouts, often overlapping, meant to emphasize the techy, but somewhat hard on the eyes. Still, I plan to buy the other seasons 'cause I'm caught up in the plot!

I bought this as a gift for someone to go along with Meatballs 1. The humor is a trifle thinner, but some of the new food creatures are quite fun. Could spark some imaginative play in kids & cooks alike! The pizza-saurus might scare small children, and give even grown ups pause as they bite into a slice *g*. I think the movie is fine for a wide age range and has a happy ending. The DVD was physically fine & the extras that I saw played OK.

Does the Kindle Fire Hdx 16GB have a light at the top so I can read inhe dark. My 4 year old Kindle died on me, and I miss having my books with me.

Also, how do I dispose of my old Kindle. Is there a way to get some of my books I have bought transferred to a new Kindle fire/

Both my new Kindles have a back-lit screen (with adjustable brightness) so they don't need a separate light. Brighter light = slightly faster battery use.
Some electronics stores take electronic items for recycling, or check for recycling centers near your zip code with your municipality (city, Twp., county).
All my Amazon books appeared on my new Kindle when I registered it with Amazon as mine. Copies are still on my 1st Kindle, too.
