Decent monitor, not very sturdy

The new HP 21.5" monitor looks nice and has plenty of different color settings, but the monitor itself is very fragile.
The first thing I noticed after taking it out of the box, is just how thin the monitor is. It's paper thin, until you get down to the bottom where the power and VGA ports are. So thin in fact, that if you're not careful you will bend it trying to tilt it forward. I'm not sure why HP chose to design the monitor this way, as it makes for an accident waiting to happen. When I pulled my monitor out of the box, I noticed that the top right corner was bent a little, due to either, bad packaging or mishandled shipping. Either way, it wasn't enough that it damaged the screen, so I just let it go.
The monitor has a nice metal stand that lets the monitor tilt forward and backwards, but like I mentioned before, be careful how you grab it because the monitor will bend and/ break. At the bottom of the screen there are 3 ports, one HDMI, one VGA and a power port. The stand does offer cable management with a removable piece on the back of it.
The image quality of the display is decent, it’s not the best I've seen but it’s certainly not the worst either. There are several different preset modes available to help you find the most desirable image quality that suits your needs. One mode in particular is HP's new certified tech: Eyesafe. This lowers the blue lights in order to save your eyes, while not sacrificing color quality. I tried this mode but found it to be a little too dark for my liking, but that's just me personally. The screen also has an ultra-wide viewing angle, which lets you see it at more of an angle.
Overall, I think that HP could’ve made a sturdier monitor, one that doesn’t bend as easy…but I do like how clean it looks with the bezel-free screen, complimented by the silver metal stand. The picture quality is good and has more than enough different preset color modes. My biggest complaint is how flimsy the screen is, which makes it easy to bend or break while tilting - if you’re not careful. Otherwise, this is a decent monitor.

The portable LED light provides an incredible amount of light. The build quality of the light is premium. It comes in a very solid metal shell, roughly the size of the iPhone 12 pro max. The back of the light has a small LCD display that shows the battery percentage; including how much time is remaining, the color temperature, brightness, and color. The side of the light has a brightness wheel, mode button and a color temperature toggle. On the bottom of the Light there is a USB out and a USB-C in for charging. The light also acts as a power bank to charge your device via USB. The light comes with a nice suede carrying pouch along with a USB-C charging cable and a universal shoe adapter.
The Light can be mounted vertical or horizontal. and makes for the perfect video camera light.
Overall, I am really impressed with this LED light. The brightness is incredible and has every color in the color wheel. Being able to mount it horizontal or vertical is a huge benefit for versatility. The light is also very easy to operate and figure out. The LCD display on the back of the light is very useful, giving you all the information you need to know. The added bonus of this acting as a portable power bank is a nice added feature. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an ad on light source for their camera.

The WD P10 4GB Hard Drive is the perfect size for anyone who has a lot of games.
The hard drive is a beast, it has a hard durable metal shell that keeps it protected if you plan on transporting with you. It cones with a USB 3.2 cable to connect it to your PC or Xbox. Although I’m not quite sure why WD didn’t make it USB-C given how thats the new form factor for the latest systems, but it still works well. It has a fast transfer speed up to 100gb/s. The HDD can be used as either a hard drive for media, documents and music, or it can be used as a drive to store your Xbox games. Choosing which one is very simple, once you plug it into the xbox, it will ask you how you want to use it and then format it for you.
I was curious to see if the transfer rate was as accurate as it claims to be, so I tried it out by moving a few games from my internal HDD to the WD. The transfer speeds are up to par, and I was getting fast speeds as advertised. Playing off the HDD is great, as it doesn’t make any noise. It also complements my white Xbox one S, with the black and white trim.
Overall, I am really happy with the WD P10. It hold enough storage to hold all my games, it has fast transfer speeds, and it is virtually silent. I would recommend this to anyone looking to more storage to store their games.

The Surfboard MAX mesh system is a great system for expanding the range of your WiFi without compromising speed drops.
The box comes packed with 2 Mesh routers, one ethernet cable, and 2 power cords. The days of instruction booklets seem to be behind us, seeing how there is none in here…Instead, you have to download the Arris surfboard app, which that will guide you through the setup process.
The Mesh system is compatible with most modems, which also makes the system worthwhile. If you currently have a separate modem and router, then the setup process is actually very easy (as long as you follow the instructions in the app). If you’re like me and have a combo router and modem, then there are a few extra steps involved that the app doesn’t show you how to do. For example, you have to go to the modem’s webpage and manually turn off both bands of WiFi, as well as put it in bridge mode. If you don’t do this, then you will have double NAT types, which is not ideal if you’re an online gamer. This is where it can be a little confusing especially for people not familiar with how to set up advanced settings on their modem through the webpage. I will say that tech support is very helpful and helped me fix my issues right away. Once you have your first satellite connected, this becomes the main router. After that, the app will ask if you want to add another satellite, after you add it then you’re all set up.
The big benefit about the mesh system, is that it offers the new WiFi-6 option. Keep in mind your device has to be able to get WiFi-6 or it will just work as normal WiFi-5. I tested the speeds on my iPhone 12 pro max, to see if there was really any increase in speeds…Unfortunately there wasn’t that big of a difference (it went from 456mbps/s to 503mbps/s). But what I did notice was that there was no more lag, meaning the download rate was consistent. That brings me to another key benefit the mesh network has, it lets you run multiple wireless devices, all at once without getting any dead spots or drops in speeds. And I mean this system reaches far. I was in my car and 2 streets over from my house, and I was still connected to my wifi network.
Overall, I love the Arris Surfboard Mesh system. I think it offers an incredible upgrade wifi networks. The app provides you with a full map of your network, including all the devices connected and what bands they’re connected to i.e., 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz. It also shows you which satellite the devices are connected to as well. The newly added WiFi-6 is also a plus, especially as new devices will start becoming compatible with it. The range and coverage of the satellites are amazing, I was no longer getting dead spots in my home, and the way the mesh network allows multiple devices running at the same time without ever slowing down is exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a better WiFi network.

It seems like Beats decided to change from premium headphones, to budget friendly earbuds. That’s exactly what the Beats Studio Buds are.
The box contains just a few items, the charging case, the buds, 3 different size ear tips and a very short USB C charging cable. It would have been nice for them to include a USB C power plug, but I guess that would have made the cost a little higher. The case is fairly small and can fit in your pocket easily without taking up too much space. It does feel kind of cheep with the top just having a thin layer of plastic, which I wouldn’t recommend dropping it. The buds are lightweight, with a matt finish and a glossy button on the top of them. I found that the buds are hard to get a good grip making them slippery to hold on to. It took a few times of adjusting to figure out how they actually go inside my ear, but once I figured it out, they sit in there quit comfortably. There is a small mic on the top end of each earbud, which acts as the passive noise feature. On the end of each bud is a button, the button has several functions such as: pause/play, hold to activate ANC, transparency or off, skip and rewind.
The sound quality I would say is mediocre. The buds have a decent amount of bass, really good highs, but fall flat on the mids. Depending on the kind of music you listen to, this can have a huge impact on sound quality. The ANC or active noise canceling, isn’t impressive, and if you plan on trying to use these on an airplane, I wouldn’t recommend them. In fact, I couldn’t even tell the difference between ANC on or off. I took a 2-hour road trip with the family, and with the ANC on, I still had a hard time hearing the music. The same thing can be said about the transparency feature, it doesn’t do a very good job at enhancing the environment sounds. Again, it sounds about the same weather the feature was on or off.
The battery is one of the best features about the buds. It does last a good while eve with the ANC or transparency functions on. Plus, with the fast-charging case, 5 mins will give you another solid hour of play time. The best part is, the case can be charged using USB C, which charges it very fast.
Overall, I would have to say the Beats Studio Buds are average at best. The sound quality is nothing to brag about, it lacks any sort of mids and at times the highs can be ear piercing. I will say, they are very comfortable to wear, especially for long periods of time. This has to do with the well design of them and the fact that they’re really lightweight. I was really disappointed with the active noise canceling feature, as it doesn’t do that good of a job. I was able to have a full conversation with the ANC turned on and didn’t have any trouble hearing the other person. And the transparency feature, is even worse. The fast-charging case is a really nice feature that gives you plenty of playing time on a single charge. This would be a good starter pair of earbuds, but if you’re expecting killer sound quality with great ANC, I would look for other options.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The aair lite is a powerful, but noisy air purifier. It has a simple display, yet offers many of the features that most air purifiers have.
Setting the air purifier up is simple, it’s just a matter of attaching the power outlet to the unit and plugging it in the wall. The unit comes with 2 different filters pre installed. On the bottom of the unit, there’s the pre-filter, this is designed to collect hairs, pollen and large particles. The second filter is located at the top of the unit, this is called the main filter or the HEPA H13. This filter is designed to capture micro pollutants such as, mold, mildew and bacteria. The unit is fitted with a fabric cover, which is removable and can be machine washed.
The air purifier is powerful, it did a good job at cleaning the air in my bedroom making it so I can breathe at night. It has 5 different power settings; level 2 and below it sounds quiet, anything over 2 and it sounds like a vacuum cleaner. There is a night mode setting, this automatically puts the purifier in quiet mode, as well as turns off the lights on the display. The display on the unit is as plain as it gets, pretty much the only thing it shows is a number which means the air quality level. There are manual controls on the unit, but there are no physical buttons, just touch sensitive buttons to manually control the power level and check the status of the filters. I’m not a big fan of how they implemented the touch controls, for one you can barley see the buttons on it and most of them require that you hold the button for a certain period of time. I would have preferred actual buttons, rather than touch sensitive buttons.
The unit does have built in WiFi that lets you connect to your network; this is so it can be controlled with the Aaris app. The app isn’t anything special and could use some major design upgrades. I tried to connect it using my iPhone 12 max pro, but after several tries, it would never connect to the unit. I then tried it on my iPad pro and for some reason, that worked on the first try. The app is plain, with very limited information. The only thing I found that you can do with the app, that you can’t do on the main unit is set a program. Other than that, it also gives you a graph of the air quality on a daily, weekly or monthly view and even the graph looks basic.
Overall, I like performance of the Aaris Lite, it does a fantastic job at cleaning the air. There are a few things I wish the company would’ve done different, such as making physical buttons, or even making the buttons bigger so you can see them better – but once you get it running that isn’t that big of an issue. The app that is used as a companion is lacking in a lot of things, mostly any sort of detailed information and the look is so basic. The unit does get really loud if you turn it higher than level 2, so it’s better to just set it to auto (which never seems to go that high for some reason). I will say that I like how the company made it as basic as possible to put the focus on the unit itself, by doing this it becomes a lot simpler to operate.

The Asus ROG Gaming notebook is a small device with a lot of power. The notebook isn’t immune to some flaws, but overall, it’s a portable powerhouse inside a very small and thin notebook.
Opening the box was a fun experience on its own. As you lift the box open, the notebook raises up as if it were on a display hinge giving it a cool presentation. There’s not much inside of the box other than the notebook, a small power brick and some paperwork. While the notebook does have a built-in camera, it does not utilize the windows face sign in…But to my surprise, it does offer a fingerprint scanner right on the power button. The fingerprint reader is a great feature, I just wish it would work better. Half the time it reads on the first press, the other half I’m forced to try over and over again which eventually I have to enter my pin.
The notebook starts up extremely fast, due to 1TB internal SSD. The 120hz 16:10 FHD touchscreen looks and feels amazing. The colors are bright with lots of detail and look sharp. The screen can be flipped around 360deg and can be used as a tablet, or you can turn it into stand mode which offers much better colling while playing games. The Notebook comes equipped with 16gb of DDR4 ram, and the RTX 3050 Ti notebook graphics card. The new RTX graphics card is designed for notebooks, giving you plenty of power to handle the latest games all while being able to fit into a low profile. One of my favorite features about this notebook is the Link to my Asus software which gives you the ability to wirelessly use your tablet as an extended display, or even mirror your screen to your tablet. I use my 11” iPad pro as a wireless extended display, which works great. The built-in speakers in the notebook are surprisingly good, seeing how small it is. They sound bright and detailed, plus they get pretty loud.
As for how this notebook handles gaming, it does not disappoint. I did have a few games that failed to start up, which resulted in having to redownload them. The games that did work, ran great. Having the 120hz screen makes a huge difference in gaming, especially in online shooters. With built-in Bluetooth, I can connect my Xbox controller wirelessly, set the notebook in stand mode and have an awesome gaming session. I would not recommend playing games with the notebook sitting in your lap, as it can get extremely hot. I also wanted to see how long the battery would last, so I charged it up to %100 and loaded a game. I was able to get a solid 45min on one charge, with the graphics setting on max, the brightness at max and the refresh rate at 120hz. Surprisingly, the notebook never overheated, or gave me any frame rate drop. In fact, the only time I noticed any sort of slowing down, was when the battery was at 9%.
Overall, the Asus ROG Gaming notebook is a solid machine. The notebook has more than enough power under the hood to run todays latest graphic demanding games. The compact size makes it extremely portable to carry around with you, plus the ability to rotate the screen gives you plenty of options for viewing. The internal speakers offer great sound to fully immense yourself into your games or shows. The 120hz touchscreen display looks astounding. Also, the ability to use your tablet as a second display or mirror it wirelessly is a great feature. The new GTX graphics card adds plenty of performance, combined with the 16gb of DDR4 ram makes this a portable powerhouse. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new gaming notebook.

The Swann Wireless Security system has more features in a security system than I’ve ever seen before, the problem is, its controlled by a buggy app.
Inside the box includes, 4 wireless 4k security cameras, the NVR with 1TB HDD and power cables. Installing the camera system is a lot easier than traditional wired systems, but you still need to run power to the cameras. Luckily, the company provides you with 4 – 40ft power cables, making it long enough to reach a power source. The only thing that needs to be plugged into the NVR is a power cable (if you plan on setting it up over WiFi). When I first set up my system, I decided to use the included ethernet cable and plug it directly into my router. While it worked, it was very slow for some reason…I decided to switch the NVR over to WiFi, surprisingly is worked much faster.
The NVR has an HDMI output so you can connect a 4k display to look at your 4k recordings. You can also stream your live feed or recording from the Swann Security app. Once your able to log onto your system settings, there you can see all the different options you have. The setting menu is a little advance and, in my opinion, could’ve been organized a bit better. I wish they would have made is easier to toggle the core features of the camera system, as well as give better instructions on how to set things like spotlight detection, siren etc.
Once everything was up and running, I was very impressed with the quality of the video. It actually looks like 4k resolution. Keep in mind, I was viewing this on a 4k tv, I was only able to get 480p through the mobile app. The mobile app is supposed to work in conjunction with the security system. From the app, you are able to view your camera’s live feed as well as recordings. There are other features you can do like, set your preference to home or away, toggle the spotlight and delete old recordings from the cloud.
The problem with the app, is that the only features I was able to use, were live view and check my recordings. But when playing back my recordings, they are always messed up. They never play the full length; it somehow skips through half the clip and ends. This happens on every recording I have. There is also a section labeled “Modes” which you’re supposed to be able to change the different presets, but I have no options on mine – it’s just a blank screen.
The problem with the app, is that the only features I was able to use, were live view and check my recordings. But when playing back my recordings, they are always messed up. They never play the full length; it somehow skips through half the clip and ends. This happens on every recording I have. The app is supposed to be the backbone of the security system, but it fails to deliver the proper experience. The app needs to add settings for your system to be able to set and control right from your mobile device. It needs to have the ability to adjust the alert zone of your cameras, set record preferences, adjust the siren etc. It does none of that. There also needs to be a bigger talk button to press to be able to 2-way talk to people in view of the camera.
Overall, I really like the camera system. When viewing the system on a 4k tv, that’s when you can see the true quality of the cameras and they look good. Unfortunately, the app that controls it needs a lot of work. The system does do a good job at notifying you when someone enters the view, and it starts recording immediately which is nice. Unfortunately, playing back the recordings from the app will skip half the video, plus they only play in 480p. I still have no idea if the videos are being recorded on the NVR’s HDD or saved to the cloud, and I haven’t found the option to change it either. If Swann ever decides to incorporate the settings into the app, then I think they have a homerun on their hands. As of now, there’s a lot of potential with the system, the only thing that’s holding it back is the mediocre app. I still would recommend this though, even with the buggy app, there is no subscription fee and it does good at notifying you.

The Circadian Optics Lumos Light Therapy Lamp is a very bright lamp for its compact size.
The lamp has 3 different brightness settings, each providing a different level of brightness. The lamp comes with an AC power cord and a small detachable stand. The stand doesn’t really provide much, other than a fancier look. The lamp is very slim, allowing it to be stored on a desk without taking up that much space. On the base of the lamp, it has a hinge that allows it to be rotated in any direction. On the light panel, the light can be rotated a full 180 degrees.

On the base of the lamp, it has a hinge that allows it to be rotated in any direction. On the light panel, the light can be rotated a full 180 degrees.
The purpose of the lamp, other than providing light, is to provide you with the right kind of light. Doing so will set your internal clock to get the right amount of energy when needed, as well as sets your internal clock to be able to sleep when need. I’ve been using this for about a week and so far, I haven’t noticed any increase in energy. But I will say that the light is very bright and works really well. I do like the 3 different dimming options, as it fills up my area with plenty of light which in turn helps my eyes from straining, saving me a headache.
Overall, I think this is a really good lamp. Its sleek design allows it to be stored on my desk without taking up that much room. The lamp provided a really good amount of light saving my eyes from eyestrain. I love how you can adjust and rotate it, there are plenty of different motion options. This is definitely a good lamp for me and I recommend it to anyone looking for a bright lamp with limited space.

The speaker is pretty lightweight for its size and power. It comes with a built-in handle located on the top of the speaker; this makes it easy to carry it around with you wherever you go. The speaker is IPX7 waterproof, making this ideal for pool parties and anywhere around water. There are 2 rings above each woofer that are LED lights, these lights can change color matching the music you’re playing. The LED lights can also be further customized through the very useful Soundcore app. The speaker can be placed either horizontal or vertical, which there are rubber feet for either position. At the top of the speaker are physical media buttons as well as the lightshow button, extra bass, and Bluetooth pairing button. Aside from Bluetooth, the speaker can also be connected via aux cable. Lastly, the speaker does have a USB for acting as a power bank to charge USB devices.

The Soundcore Rave sounds really good, and packs plenty of bass. Of course, if bass is something you desire, there is an extra bass button that adds more bass to your sound. I played a different array of music to see how well the speakers handles different genres, I must say the speaker sounds good on all kinds of music. The 80 watts of power makes this a very loud speaker that can be heard outdoor throughout the whole yard. Plus, with Anker’s partycast lineup, you can add over 100 speakers all linked together simultaneously. The Soundcore app extends the usage of the speaker by adding custom light effects, music presets, an equalizer, and some really fun party games. The party games include; spin the bottle which syncs with the lights on the speakers when the wheel is spinning. There is also a trivia game, and a truth or dare game.
Overall, I am impressed with the Anker Soundcore Rave speaker. It provides a really good sound no matter what genre of music you listen to. The speaker also gets extremely loud, which makes this ideal for outdoor use. The LED lightshow is really fun to watch, plus the customizable colors is a bonus. The fact that you can pair up to 100 of these speakers is really impressive, and I would be very interested to hear how that sounds. Lastly, the IPx7 rated waterproof makes this one of the best party speakers on the market. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new Bluetooth speaker.

You don't have to have the water hose connected in order to use the electric toothbrush. It also works as a standalone electric toothbrush.

The controller is wired only. I'm not sure about 2 running at the same time though.

If your all-in-one supports it, then yes it will work. You would just plug in with an HDMI cable, then configure the display settings in windows.
