Transmit high-quality sound with this AudioQuest OptiLink Vodka OPTVOD01.5 4.9' Toslink digital optical audio cable that features narrow-aperture synthetic fibers and highly polished ends for reduced digital timing errors and termination reflections.
This is an excellent cable however I am considering returning it and going with the Audioquest Vodka HDMI cable for sound for my JBL 3.1 BAR soundbar and subwoofer(wireless) Does this cable not support 3.1 channel and higher?
As long as the hardware supports 3.1, the fiber optic cable will provide 3.1. However, HDMI has a wider bandwidth and so would probably sound better than a fiber optic cable.

Will this work for a single wire component connector to a headphone from the optical connection on Samsung TV?
Toslink is a digital format, and a cable cannot convert digital to analog, or vice versa. In order to connect your headphones to the TV you need a headphone jack on the TV. If they're isn't one, you would need a DAC (digital to analog convertor). The Toslink cable would connect to the DAC's digital input, and you could connect the headphone's to the DAC's analog output.

We are having issue with our audio not matching the actors when they speak. We have a 2% silver plated cable on it now. Will a 5% silver plated work better? This 6ft cable runs from our 4K TV to our 7 speaker Sound bar both are Samsung.
A different HDMI cable is unlikely to fix this problem. It sounds like a "LipSync" issue, and probably requires a setting to be changed in either your BluRay player or TV.

Will this cable work on a 55” 2013 Samsung tv
As long as the TV has a fiber optic audio output and the device you want to connect to (i.e. soundbar) has a fiber optic audio input, then yes.

As of right now I have a Audioquest Cinnamon HDMI cable running from my 4k tv to my soundbar so would it be an upgrade if I replace that cable with this one considering Vodka is superior to the Cinnamon lineup? I know HDMI is better than an optical cable
Cables can only make improvements by introducing less distortion into the system and doing less harm to the signal. The less distortion, the better. A cable cannot improve the cable it’s carrying. So upgrading your cable to a better one will absolutely make your system sound better.

Is this HDMI cable in-wall rated? if not which vodka cable is, in the same length range?
All AudioQuest HDMI cables with a PVC jacket are in-wall rated. Vodka HDMI up to 3.0 m. features a braided jacket; 5.0 m. and longer feature a PVC jacket.

Would this also work as a 3.5 mm audio/video cable to connect 2 Sony Camcorders together using the A/V port on each? Looking for the highest quality cable to passthru from analog camcorder to digital camcorder to my PC via firewire to convert old tapes.
It will pass a signal, but I doubt the picture quality will be very good. Evergreen is an analog interconnect cable designed to carry audio signals. Video signals are much higher frequencies and as such you really should use a specific video cable.

What is the length of this cable
