Would a less expensive HDMI cable still deliver an equil quality picture? I'm not talking bargin basement cables but ones that are priced in $50 range?

Ensure quality signal transfer with this 2.5' AudioQuest OptiLink Cinnamon OPTCIN0.75 optical cable that features high-purity polymer fiber to reduce internal reflections and timing errors and highly polished ends to minimize termination reflections.

Can this cable pass higher-resolution audio like Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio?

Hello, to fully support Dolby Atmos, TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio you would need to use an HDMI cable. If you use an optical cable, these audio formats will be down-converted to what is referred to as "lossy" or compressed audio formats. You'll still be able to listen to the soundtrack and get audio, but in order to get the full resolution you would need to go with an HDMI cable.

AudioQuest Rocket 44 Full-Range speaker cable shares several outstanding design elements with its award-winning sibling, the smaller-gauge Rocket 33, but improves overall performance with its higher-purity conductor metal. Appropriate for full-range speaker systems and terminated with high-quality silver-plated banana plugs, AudioQuest Rocket 44 is a versatile high-performance speaker cable resolving enough for high-end audio systems and practical enough for most home entertainment systems. Rocket 44 uses a carefully finessed combination of AudioQuest’s excellent Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) and the company’s very best copper, Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+), in a Double Star-Quad configuration designed to reduce distortion for cleaner, clearer, more naturally detailed sound. Further, Rocket 44 features AudioQuest’s effective Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation, and, as with all AudioQuest cables, the conductors in Rocket 44 are Direction-Controlled to minimize the damaging effects of radio-frequency noise. With its thoughtful, time-tested combination of high-quality materials and design elements, AudioQuest Rocket 44 is an outstanding choice for all types of music, movies, and listening environments.

Hi, could one kindly explain the difference between 'Rock448frsn' and 'Rock448sbws" ? Is this mean a single wire connection at each end for the first code or mixed: single and bi-wire connections at each end for the second code? Thank you.

Those are Best Buy part numbers, so you should check with them to be certain. The first part number refers to Rocket 44, Full Range (i.e. non-biwire). I suspect "sn" means a single cable. The second part number refers to Rocket 44, SBW (Single BiWire). The "s" may refer to "single" or it may refer to "spade" termination. Please confirm with Best Buy.

Connect your Toslink-equipped devices with this digital optical cable that features high-performance polymer fiber that reduces distortion for clear audio.

If I,buy the SB500, should I buy this cable and why?

When it comes to choosing cables, there's no one "right" cable - it's a case of going with the best cable you can. This is because cables cannot improve the signal they carry, they can only make improvements by introducing less distortion into the system and doing less harm to the signal. The less distortion, the better. The best cable therefore is the one that introduces the least distortion and affects the signal as little as possible. And this is true for all cables. And the further up the line you go, the better it gets.

AudioQuest Rocket 33 Full-Range is an award-winning speaker cable that boasts an unrivaled combination of performance and value. Appropriate for full-range speaker systems and terminated with high-quality silver-plated banana plugs, AudioQuest Rocket 33 is a versatile high-performance speaker cable resolving enough for high-end audio systems, durable enough for studio use, and practical enough for most home entertainment systems. Rocket 33 uses a carefully finessed combination of AudioQuest’s Solid Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) and Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors in a Double Star-Quad configuration designed to reduce distortion for cleaner, clearer, more naturally detailed sound. Further, Rocket 33 features AudioQuest’s effective Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation, and, as with all AudioQuest cables, the conductors in Rocket 33 are Direction-Controlled to minimize the damaging effects of radio-frequency noise. With its thoughtful, time-tested combination of high-quality materials and design elements, AudioQuest Rocket 33 is an outstanding choice for all types of music, movies, and listening environments.

I am seeking a good pair of speaker cables to bi-amp my Mirage M3 speakers. Will the Rocket 33 work? I already have a pair of MIT AV3 bi-wired cables and am upgrading receiver to 9.1 and will use four channels to bi-amp the M3 speakers & Atmos.

Dear Keith,

Rocket 33 would work fine for biamping a pair of Mirage M3s.

In fact, to prove this point we have been conducting our infamous “boombox demo” for more than 15 years now. Although this demo involves speaker cables, the principles apply equally to interconnect cables (or any cables for that matter). We bought a boombox from a local retailer for $110 and we use it to compare the differences between speaker cables – both AudioQuest v. the competition as well as comparing different AQ cables. The difference is clearly audible and the responses we get never fail to amaze us. People think we’re crazy using a boombox because the assumption is that the “system” isn’t good enough to allow differences to be heard. Quite the opposite is true. People are astounded that they can hear a difference, and as we progress though the line of AQ speaker cables, they are equally astounded by the amount of improvement they hear.

While Rocket 33 would work, if your budget allows a better cable, you can simoply expect better sound quality!

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Alasdair Patrick

Clear up smudges on your electronic device's screen with this AudioQuest CleanScreen AQCSKIT kit that includes a chemically safe cleaning solution to help prevent degradation and damage. The microfiber cloths remove buildup without scratching the screen.

What is the recommended way to clean the cloth?

Gentle hand wash is recommended, but it's OK on the gentle cycle in the washing machine.
