Dear Keith,
Rocket 33 would work fine for biamping a pair of Mirage M3s. When it comes to choosing cables, there's no one "right" cable - it's a case of going with the best cable you can. This is because cables cannot improve the signal they carry, they can only make improvements by introducing less distortion into the system and doing less harm to the signal. The less distortion, the better.
The best cable therefore is the one that introduces the least distortion and affects the signal as little as possible. And this is true for all cables. And the further up the line you go, the better it gets. In fact, to prove this point we have been conducting our infamous “boombox demo” for more than 15 years now. Although this demo involves speaker cables, the principles apply equally to interconnect cables (or any cables for that matter). We bought a boombox from a local retailer for $110 and we use it to compare the differences between speaker cables – both AudioQuest v. the competition as well as comparing different AQ cables. The difference is clearly audible and the responses we get never fail to amaze us. People think we’re crazy using a boombox because the assumption is that the “system” isn’t good enough to allow differences to be heard. Quite the opposite is true. People are astounded that they can hear a difference, and as we progress though the line of AQ speaker cables, they are equally astounded by the amount of improvement they hear.
While Rocket 33 would work, if your budget allows a better cable, you can simoply expect better sound quality!
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Alasdair Patrick
