In high humidity areas, a freezer may need more frequent defrosting and cleaning. In regards to the food, you can remove all frozen food and wrap it in several layers of newspaper and cover with a blanket: food will stay frozen for several hours. OR Store frozen food in a cooler, additional refrigerator-freezer or in a cool area.

Once the room temperature falls below 45 degrees, it can affect the cycling of the compressor (cooling process), by giving false readings to the units internal thermostat. Danby recommends selecting a location with reasonable year round temperatures. It should be noted that this refrigerator is intended for indoor residential use and exposure to extreme temperatures may damage the appliance and void the warranty.
