Yes, you can auto upload to the GoPro cloud without needing to use your laptop for this. You will need to subscribe to GoPro and to pair your HERO11 Black to the GoPro Quik app to set up the auto upload options, and you will need a wifi network with Internet connectivity. Note that networks that require acceptance of a terms & conditions agreement (hotels, coffee shops, etc.) will not work for auto upload. You'll also need to use the wall charger, have at least 3GB free on your SD card, and have your battery charged up to a safe level. Once you're all connected and in range of the wifi network you linked, plug in the camera to a power source and turn the camera on. The upload will start automatically. You can also select to auto-clear the files on your SD card as they're uploaded to free up space for more videos and photos.

It is possible, but you'd likely need to use an adapter mount to rotate the camera. There are 90-degree mounts or even the 3-Way pivot arm mount could be used with the Head Strap to do this.

The battery for the MAX is different than the one for the HERO models. There is a separate Enduro battery made for the HERO11 Black though.

If the HERO10 Black gets too hot, it's often because it is being used in an area with minimal airflow and/or the SD card being used is slow, which can make the camera work harder, which generates more heat. Increasing airflow around the camera and using a faster SD card should alleviate any issues with the camera getting too hot. Battery life depends on the settings used. Higher frame rates and resolutions typically use more power than lower frame rates and resolutions. For example, at 4K/120 fps, the battery may last less than 40 minutes, but at 1080p/30 fps, the battery should last about two hours. Using a spare battery or plugging the camera into an external power source can extend the recording time for the HERO10 Black.
