Yes, you can download GoPro files to your computer. One way is to pull the SD card from your camera and use an SD card adapter to connect the card directly to your computer. GoPro video files are mp4 files.

Does the Hero9 still require software or an app to process 120fps & 240fps slow-motion files?

The HERO9 Black doesn't need anything else to record at those frame rates, but you will want to use an editor to shift those down to 30 fps (or some other lower fps) to have it show as slow motion. You can use GoPro's Quik app to do this, or you should be able to do this using most video editing programs like iMovie or VSDC.

I NEED CASE TO BE WATERPROOF?

The HERO9 Black is waterproof without a case down to 33 feet. If you ant to go deeper than that, there is a separate dive housing available.

Will this screen protector work on the GoPro Max?

These protectors are designed specifically for the HERO8 Black. The lenses and the screen on the MAX are different shapes and sizes, so these will not work on the MAX. There is a separate lens protector for the MAX though. Look for the "MAX Replacement Protective Lenses".

The phone will add on some additional features like being able to preview shots, control your camera remotely, and make it easier to view and share the content you record, but all of the core functions of the camera can be controlled directly on the camera.
