Yes, The wine cellar requires a minimum of 5 inches clearance all around the unit for proper ventilation.

I want this for bedroom/bathroom . Is it quiet running? I have heard they are too loud for a work cubical.

The KWC4 has a small 12 volt brushless fan motor on the back of the unit that is quiet when running.

You may use ice packs or ice in a sealed bag or container to assist the cooling or cool down the unit faster and maintain cooling if the cooler is uplugged from the vehicle or the optional ac adapter.

The P65 does not have any electrical components in the bottom of the cooler so you may use ice or ice packs as along as they are in a sealer container or bag. Please make sure the lid assembly with the electric components does not get wet at all as that would damage the unit.

No, the cooler does not have a noisy fan motor. There would be some heat that is coming from the heatinsk when plugged into cool mode.

It states that is cools 40 degrees below ambient for its refrige/cooling specs, but how warm does it warm food? Like if I took some ambient/room temperature soup how hot would the food warmer keep the soup? (What temp does it warm up to or keep warm at?)

P9 Cooling: approximately 40°F/22°C below ambient.
P9 Heating: approximately 135°F/57°C inside.
