We’re using the soundbar with a new Roku TV. The sound periodically city’s out for a second or two, which is annoying missing dialogue. Any recommendations on how to fix this?

There are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot your Soundbar.

First, you will want to download the latest software for your Soundbar. You can download the firmware directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-B650 under Standard.

Download the update and install it via USB thumb stick to your soundbar. If you need additional help, there are how-to instructions on this page. Please know that Samsung Customer Service is here to assist as well.

Also, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

If this still does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.

How do I get the soundbar remote to work for my woofer and the volume? I can turn the soundbar on and off with the remote but I can't control the volume r work the woofer with it

The Volume and Woofer buttons need to be thought of as a toggle switch. You will push or pull the switch to increase/decrease the volume of your Soundbar or Woofer. If you press the button IN this will mute your Soundbar or set your Woofer to 0.

Can I use the sound bar as a pass-through between my Apple TV (HDMI In to sound bar) to my Samsung TV?

I hooked this soundbar to my Hisense using the HDMI ARC input. It works good. I also have a Nintendo switch hooked up to the TV, using another HDMI input. But the Nintendo doesn’t play sound through the soundbar, only through the TV speakers. Why?

My soundbar gets loud with music and am constantly adjusting volume. Is there a setting to make the sound consistent?

The Soundbar itself does not have a feature that will equalize volume. Check your TV settings for a similar setting that you can turn on.

does this sound bar support Q symphony?

The HW-B550 Soundbar does not support Q-Symphony. You will need to purchase a Q-Series Soundbar such as the HW-Q60C or higher model and connect to a compatible Samsung TV to utilize this feature.

I read a few reviews saying that this needs an optical wire or ACR. Does the soundbar and subwoofer have Bluetooth capability as it states? I don’t want all the extra cords hanging.

The HW-B650 Soundbar comes with a wireless subwoofer that you will only need to plug in to an outlet for power. The Soundbar itself can connect using Bluetooth but you will not be able to control the Soundbar using the TV/Cable remote when connected using Bluetooth.
