Does this mount directly to the tv or do I need buy a mount also?

IS THE MANUAL INCLUDED WITH THE TV WHEN DELIVERED? OR DO I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD IT AND CREATE MY OWN MANUAL??

Hi CYBERMAN! The AU7980 will include a quick start guide to get you setup and running. You can find a more in depth manual through the Support link on the Samsung website. In addition to the online manual, the E-Manual is embedded into the TV itself. You can find the E-Manual in the support section of the settings.

Does this TV support or transmit Dolby Atmos?

Hi David! The AU7980 does not support Dolby Atmos through the TV speakers alone as it is a 20w 2.0ch sound system; however, this model supports HDMI eARC technology allowing you to pass Dolby Atmos audio to an external device that supports the format.

Hi! We recommend using 4K HDMI cables for the best possible picture quality. Some 4K HDMI cables are in-wall rated; however, this is not a necessary feature to have if you do not plan to run your HDMI cable through your wall.

Can I have a static picture on this tv similar to the frame model?

You can certainly view images on the AU8000 by connecting a USB storage device or casting photos from a mobile phone; however, the Frame is the only model that features Art Mode support giving you customization over your photos, the ability to add borders or frames, and the ability to store photos to the TV.
