Can I screen share with an Android cell phone? How is the sound on this TV without a soundbar? Is IMBD one of the apps that is already on the TV?

Hi Mary! Great questions. The AU8000 will allow you to wirelessly connect to your Android device allowing you to share your phone or tablet with the big screen.

For sound, This TV features a 20w 2.0ch sound system with Samsung's Object Tracking Sound Lite providing more accurate sound positioning when compared to standard TV speakers, immersing you in your content even further.

The AU8000 features a built in App Store allowing you to search for and download a wide range of streaming apps, including IMDb TV. I hope this helped answer your questions!

Can I connect this tv to DISH and only use non-smart functions. I don't want smart tv functions.

Hi chuck! You do not need to utilize any of the smart features on the TV should you choose not to. The TV will allow you to go straight to your last used source, such as your DISH service, when turning on the TV. You can even turn off the "Auto Launch Smart Hub" feature for quicker access to your external device. Navigate to Settings > General > Smart Features and disable both "Autorun Smart Hub" and "Autorun Last App".

on a 43 TV how do I measure the size - diagonally or straight across left to right?

Hi Geo! TV's are advertised using the diagonal measurement of the screen. You can often times find the additional dimensions of each TV listed in the product specs. The dimensions of the 43" AU8000 are 38" x 22" x 1" (WxHxD) without the stand and 38" x 23.6" x 7.7" (WxHxD) with the stand attached.
