MX T40 2ch Sound Tower with High Power Audio
MX T40 2ch Sound Tower with High Power Audio
Give your sound a boost

Can you connect this speaker wirelessly to a Harmon Kardon/Samsung Q70 R Soundbar?

Hi Matt! Both the Samsung Sound Tower and Samsung Sound bars are designed to receive a Bluetooth signal rather than transmit one. The MX-T40 will not be able to connect to a Samsung soundbar, or other Bluetooth speaker outside of the Sound Tower family. Should you wish to add additional speakers, you can pair up to 10 Samsung Sound Tower speakers wirelessly via Group Play.

Are these Speakers compatible with the HW-Q850A/ZA Samsung sound bar

Hi JC9! The HW-Q850A includes its own set of compatible wireless rear speakers and is not designed to pair with the SWA-9500S wireless rear speakers from Samsung.

I'm having a Samsung SoundBar Q900A and subwoofer installed, will the samsung 2.0 -channel wireless Rear Speaker Kit with surround sound work with this soundBar? Do I need rear speaker to get sound in the rear?

Hi! The HW-Q900A soundbar is not compatible with the SWA-9100S wireless rear speaker kit. The correct rear speaker solution designed to pair with the soundbar is model SWA-9500S found at the following link from Best Buy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-2-0-2-channel-wireless-rear-speaker-kit-with-dolby-atmos-dtsx-black/6456115.p?skuId=6456115

Can you use more than one pair of these speakers with same sound bar. I already have a pair connected but considering another pair in the room.

Hi Garfy! Samsung soundbars are designed to connect with one wireless rear speaker solution at a time and will not allow you to connect multiple rear speaker kits to the soundbar.

We just purchased a new Samsung 8 series 50 " TV. Can we use the TV speakers for the front and these 2 rear wireless Atmos for the back?

Hi Vincent! Samsung Wireless Rear Speakers, such as the SWA-9500S, are designed to connect to a compatible Samsung soundbar and will not pair direct to a Samsung TV.

I have Q9000t soundbar & would like to add my BOSE cubes as rear. The SWA9000s system is crap. Can I connect (wire) from rear of SWA9000s amp to another amp & connect my BOSE cubes using phonos to boost sound quality & volume? Mel.

Hi melcapone! Samsung soundbars are only designed to connect to compatible Samsung rear speaker solutions. Additionally, the wireless modules designed to power the included rear speakers should not be used to power any other rear speakers, this may cause damage to the unit not covered by the manufacturers warranty.

Can I connect two SWA-W500/ZA sub-woofer to the HW-S50A soundbar?

Hi multiplewoof! Thank you for inquiring about the HW-S50A and subwoofer compatibility. Samsung soundbars are designed to connect to one compatible subwoofer solution at a time and will not allow you to pair multiple subwoofers to the same soundbar.

 Samsung - HW-A550 2.1ch Sound bar with Dolby 5.1 - Black
Samsung - HW-A550 2.1ch Sound bar with Dolby 5.1 - Black
Elevate your experience with virtual 3D surround sound.

Specs say this soundbar has DTS Virtual:X surround sound. Sounds like additional speakers are needed to get surround sound. Some speakers create Dolby Atmos & DTS:X from the soundbar and sub woofer. Are additional speakers needed for surround sound?

Hi TTTDVDDO! DTS Virtal:X create a virtual surround experience and does not actually use physical top, rear, or side firing speakers. If you would like to create a surround sound experience with the HW-A550, check out the compatible SWA-9100S wireless rear speaker kit designed to pair with the HW-A550. The SWA-9100S is available for purchase from Best Buy at the following link: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-2-0-channel-wireless-rear-speaker-kit-with-surround-sound-black/6456117.p?skuId=6456117

Does this speaker system work well with a TCL TV? In terms of the remote, I guess the TCL TV remote cannot be used to control the speakers and the speakers' remote cannot be used to control the TV - am I right?

Hi Godfather! The HW-A470 soundbar is not brand restricted and can connect to any TV that supports digital optical audio or a Bluetooth wireless audio connection. You can adjust the HW-A470 Soundbar volume using the TV’s remote control. This function can be used with IR remote controls only. Bluetooth remote controls (remote controls that require pairing) are not supported. Set the TV speaker to External Speaker to use this function. 1) Turn Off the Soundbar. 2) Push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds. Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order: “Samsung-TV Remote” (Default mode), “Off-TV Remote”, “All-TV Remote”. Should you need further assistance, please contact Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG.
