Can I connect this receiver kit using wires to my own speakers or I have to use only the speakers provided with the kit?

Hi Nil! The speaker wire included with the SWA-9100S features clips designed to connect to the wireless transmitter box. We do not recommend cutting, splicing, or replacing the speaker wire included as it may damage the product / speakers in a way outside of the manufacturers warranty coverage.

What does it mean virtual 5.1? I see its listed for 3 channel. What is the difference between this model and the S60A?

Adaptive sound analyses the sound signal to automatically deliver optimized sound based on each scene. Additionally, more connection options are available with the S60A supporting WiFi and Airplay 2. So kind of a dumb question, but I for the life of me can't get the back of my remote to go back on after I put the batteries in it for the first time, just got this as a Xmas gift and this is my only issue at the moment. Any help/suggestions? Thanks.

Hi! I am sorry to hear about the difficulties you are experiencing with the battery cover of the remote. To remove the cover, you slide it in the direction that the arrow is facing located on the back of the remote. When putting the cover back on, make sure you are again sliding the cover rather than snapping it on by pushing in the opposite direction of the arrow. I hope this helps. Hi! I purchased the Samsung HW-Q600A. My Samsung TV does not have a HDMI (ARC) port. However, it does have a HDMI port. Can I setup the sound bar through the HDMI IN port on my TV? Will I still get the Dolby Atmos sound effects?

Hi Schneiderbc! The HW-Q600A features both an HDMI input and HDMI Output. This allows you to connect an external device direct to the soundbar, then the soundbar will pass both the video and audio through to the TV's HDMI input. With this type of connection, only the audio from the connected device will play through the soundbar, any devices connected direct to the TV will not pass audio to the soundbar. Alternatively, you may be able to utilize the digital optical audio or Bluetooth wireless audio connection allowing all sound to pass from the TV to the soundbar. I hope this helps.

I just purchased a Q60A 85 inch QLED 4K Tizen......which Samsung soundbar would be most appropriate for this television?

Posting another question as previous one on 7.1.2 had confusing answer. Does HW-Q65T has up-firing speakers? As per Samsung website they do. If they do, why this isn't a 7.1.2? Either Samsung is lying, or their reps have no clue about the product.

Hi teeks! The HW-Q65T is a 7.1 ch sound system when connected to the included wireless rear speaker kit; this system does not support Dolby Atmos, nor does it feature upward firing speakers. The product information on the Samsung website lists "3D Sound" which is different from Dolby Atmos and does not require upward firing speakers to accomplish. This 3D sound technology is provided by the built in DTS Virtual:X support. Samsung features multiple soundbars including the Acoustic Beam, which is positioned on the top of the soundbar. For the soundbar model HW-Q65T, the Acoustic Beam is designed to fire sound AROUND you rather than ABOVE you. This Acoustic beam is not providing height channels to the soundbar, therefor the soundbar cannot be listed as a Dolby Atmos compatible system. When stepping up to the HW-Q600A, the built in Acoustic Beam is now configured to fire sound overhead providing you with a true Dolby Atmos experience.

Hi Victor! While you can give a hands-free command to Alexa to turn off the Q60A TV, you will need to connect an additional Alexa device (such as an Echo Show or Dot) to give hands-free commands to turn the TV on. ^Gina

Is there a power cord coming off the back of the sound bar or is it battery powered (truly wireless)?

Hi DSJ50! Both the soundbar and the sub will require a power cable to be connected to a nearby outlet. The wireless description of the system refers to the connection between the soundbar and subwoofer. Once both the soundbar and subwoofer are plugged in and powered, the sub for the HW-A430 will wirelessly connect to the soundbar eliminating the need for complicated setup or wires running from the sub to the soundbar.
