Hi, you can turn Closed Captions on/off and change the settings such as separating it from the broadcast screen, font color, background color, size, position, language, etc. by going to: Settings > General > Accessibility > Caption Settings.

Does it have a sleep timer option?

Hi Herb! Yes, the AU8000 features a sleep timer setting. Navigate to Settings > General > System Manager > Time > Sleep Timer, and then select the amount of time you would like the TV to stay on before powering itself off. You can set the sleep timer up to 180 minutes, after which the TV will turn off.

Can I connect the tv through apples home app?

Hi Unsupervised! The TU6985 does not feature the Apple HomeKit dashboard on the TV. The TU7000 is compatible with Airplay 2 technology you to connect wirelessly to the TV from an Apple device. Samsung TVs do not support Apple HomeKit; Samsung TVs are compatible with Amazon Alexa, Bixby, Google Assistant, SmartThings, and other connected devices that "Work With SmartThings".
