We recently purchased the Samsung HW-T550 2.1ch Soundbar with Dolby Audio / DTS Virtual:X (2020) - Black. The sound is great however the sound bar will turn itself on during the night even though it was shut off with our TV. Why is this happening?

Hi there! The Soundbar turns on by itself when another device connected to it tells it to. The solution depends on which device is causing the Soundbar to turn on.
1) For a Bluetooth source, press and hold the SOUND MODE button for 6 seconds while the Soundbar is on. Set it so that “OFF-BLUETOOTH POWER” appears on the display.
2) For an Optical source, press and hold the Left button for 6 seconds while the Soundbar is on. Set it so that “OFF-AUTO POWER LINK” appears on the display.
3) For an HDMI source, press and hold the Right button for 6 seconds while the Soundbar is on. Set it so that “OFF-ANYNET+” appears on the display. ^Patty

While I'm aware that the subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room, is there typically a "best" placement for it, like in a corner, by the couch, or up near the TV? Likewise for the satellites, since they don't fire upward, are they better raised up?

Hi Brandon! The sub should be placed on the floor. Placement can depend on room shape, size, and the furniture in the room, so it can be different for every customer's room. Nice thing about a sub is that it can go anywhere. I recommend you it try it in a couple of different spots and see where it sounds best for you. ^Patty

What wall mounts will work for the rear speakers?

My Samsung Q70t intermittently goes out for a few seconds then comes back on. It is hdmi from tv so it’s not a Bluetooth issue. What gives?

It doesn't look like this comes with stands for the rear speakers. Are stands required in order for me to get the full Atmos/3D sound experience? If so, how degraded would the sound be if the rear speakers were just placed on the floor?
