I currently have 2 rear speakers mounted on my 10' ceiling behind my couch. Could the rear speakers with this soundbar replace my existing ceiling speakers and be used with this soundbar? Also, can I get rid of my existing front left and front right?

Hi GmanHB, the rear speakers need to be wired to the wireless sending unit included in the HW-Q850 box (typically placed behind a couch, etc.), so if the wiring and mounts allow it, they can replace the speakers mounted on your ceiling. The sound bar has left and right channels, so you can play either the sound bar, or your existing system, not both at the same time which would make your existing left and right channels redundant. Does the subwoofer have Dolby Atmos sound?

Hi JanetC, A subwoofer is a loudspeaker designed to reproduce low-pitched audio frequencies known as bass and sub-bass, lower in frequency than those which can be (optimally) generated by a woofer. Dolby Atmos expands on existing surround sound systems by adding height channels, allowing sounds to be interpreted as three-dimensional objects. Subwoofers are by design non-directional, while Dolby Atmos is by design directional spatial audio. They are not incompatible, they actually work very well together, though the subwoofer does not output Dolby Atmos sound independently. Great Question! ^Scott

Can I use these rear speakers to replace the speakers I have mounted high in the wall with existing speaker wire ?

Hi KyaMac, the rear speakers need to be wired to the wireless sending unit included in the HW-Q850 box (typically placed behind a couch, etc.). It might work if you connect the speaker wires first to the speakers, then to the wireless sending unit (instead of your receiver) near your AV system. Otherwise you'll need to connect directly to the sending unit near the speakers. Thanks! ^Scott

Hi R, how many watts can be a tricky question depending on how the system is used, so I’ll give you three sets of numbers. The HW-Q950T has a total maximum speaker output of 546 watts. I'm looking to buy a new 65" tv for my living room. my choices are an 8 series uhd UN65TU8000FXZA or either a q60t or q70t if its worth the extra money. whats your opinion or advice. all is appreciated thanks in advance
