Is there a control I can set to keep commercials from blasting me out of the living room?

Does this tv provide remote talk and smart hub? Remote talk as in ask Samsung to play a movie without using the buttons?

Hi Jake! The TU7000 works with Voice Assistants. However, you will need to have a standalone Google/Alexa device to perform limited commands such as changing channels, swapping input selections and launching partner apps. You can activate these commands handsfree; you will need a separate Smart Hub for this feature to work. When stepping up to the TU8000, you will gain built-in voice assistants (Amazon Alexa, Bixby, Google Assistant) and a dedicated voice assistant button on your remote for a much wider list of commands such as weather, music, and getting questions answered with your voice. With the TU8000, you will not need a standalone Voice Assistant device, nor will you need a Smart Hub, but you will need to press the the dedicated voice assistant button to activate the commands. ^Gina

There's this thick film over the TV and I can't seem to remove it it makes the screen opaque

Vic, if there is a protective film on your screen, it will be indicated with a large blue triangle in the upper left corner. The triangle will have an illustration showing how to remove the protective film.
If you do not have a blue triangle in the upper left corner, then that means there is no protective film on the screen, so please do not try to peel off anything. You will damage what is actually the screen.
