Hi there, thanks for the clarification. The Samsung - 55" Class - QLED Q80 Series is very sturdy and well balanced, though it is quite a bit lighter than your Plasma TV. If the TV is centered on the pedestal the weight distribution will remain unchanged regardless of the pedestals angle. As such it should be no more or less likely to tip over than another similar model. ^Scott

Hi there, Historically the minimum distance measurement was screen size x 1.5. So if you had a 60" TV you wouldn't want to sit any closer than 9 feet to avoid seeing individual pixels. With 4K, and now 8K, TV's on the market it is virtually impossible to see individual pixels at any distance. So check out the 85" TV's in store at your current seating distance and as long as you are comfortable, pull the trigger. ^Scott
