On SD TV

With Sony and Element I have, both can display the SD (old, standard resolution) in full format (cutting out some display). I tried the Picture's Fit to Screen option and it does not work. Any hint?

Without knowing what your source is, it's hard to say. If you have a DVD player or SD cable/satellite box, try changing both devices (the box or DVD player) to 4:3 settings, and then the TV to 4:3 settings.

For full screen, switch both the source and the TV to 16:9 or widescreen format.

I would like to wirelessly hook my ASUS PC to the TV by Wifi. Thinking about installing a DVR board in the PC for recording and replaying on the Samsung Smart TV is the reason I'm asking. Is this possible?

5 Series 1000W 5.1-Ch. 3D / Smart Blu-ray Home Theater System

This Samsung 5 Series HT-J5500/ZA Blu-ray home theater system includes 5 satellite speakers and a passive subwoofer. To build a complete 3D home theater system, you'll also need a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV and a high-speed HDMI cable.

Wireless Subwoofer Kit?

I have a full-blown home theater in my basement, but I'm considering "surround sound" for my family room's 42" TV. That said, it would be used more for improved sound at lower volumes than at volumes that would rock the house, and I don't have the opportunity to hardwire the rear speakers or subwoofer. So, I have two questions:

1) Can I use a Wireless Subwoofer Kit (such as the RocketFish RF-WSW312 sold by Best Buy) to "convert" to a wireless subwoofer without the wireless sub interfering with the rear surround wireless system or otherwise negatively impacting performance of the Samsung system generally?

2) If the answer to Question 1 is "yes", I know that the sub that comes with the HT-J5500ZA system is "passive", so the "wireless subwoofer" wouldn't work well (if at all) with the system's included subwoofer. Rather than use the Samsung passive subwoofer, could I use an "active subwoofer" from a computer speaker package with the wireless subwoofer kit instead? I'm sure the sub's quality would not be comparable, but -- again -- I don't really need to rock the house anyway.

We can't swap out subwoofer options, but a Best Buy sales associate may have a solution for you.

I wish we had one, but based on your detailed description, we don't offer anything like that.

Bluetooth wireless keyboards can only be used on the ES6500 and higher models.

However, HID-Compliant USB keyboards will be compatible with this model.
