do the door handles come off..my opening is only 27.5 inches

I just got the 43 inch Samsung 8000 series. How do i access the sleep timer. I paired it with my Comcast Xfinity X1 remote, but you get no where thru that, how do i access it from the Samsung remote??? I ahve tried everything, but ther remote is unclear
