Can you use a regular glass cleaner on the shelves?

Hi Dave, yes you can use regular glass cleaners on the shelves; for the wood use a soft, clean cloth that will not scratch the surface when dusting.

As long as the particular TV mounting screw hole distances fit within the parameters of this Whalen stand, can a larger TV (eg. 65 inch) be accomodated?

Tom, this model supports TVs up to 58" and 135 lbs. We do not recommend mounting TV's larger/heavier than this.

will this support a 50" Samsung 6300 series UHD TV? The horizontal dimension is 44"

Unfortunately no Tom; this model fits up to most 47" Flat Panel TV's with a maximum load of 135 lbs. The mounting frame is 26.77" W and the overall width of the Stand is 41", it will not support the width or size of your TV.
