We just purchased this to use with a new 60 inch Samsung. The store clerk said that it was fine to accommodate that TV The description provided here says up to 55 inch. Will this be a problem.

John, we do not recommended using this console with a 60" television. This model was manufactured and tested to fit up to most 55" Flat Panel TVs, maximum load of 135 lbs. To avoid instability the base of the television must be able to rest on the supporting surface of the unit without over-hanging the edges. Hi: Looks like a great console that will fit our needs for the Samsung 60" Dia 4K TV. You mention that this is for 55" Dia model. Is this because the console width is 49.75" and the TV is 53.2" and the TV would stick out about 2" on both sides? Bill
