Are we required to sign in/start our Miscrosoft 365 subscription to use the more sophisticated features on this laptop like Notepad and Chrome?
This Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, model number 81X800ENUS, ships with a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 included as part of the Windows operating system. To keep the program active after the trial period, you will need to either purchase a product key or sign in with an active Microsoft Office 365 Account, using your existing User Name and Password. Additionally, this IdeaPad 3 15 ships with Windows 11 S-Mode, 64-bit bit Operating System installed. Windows 11 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 11 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. To install an APP like Chrome Browser, which is not available at the Microsoft Store, you will need to switch out of S-Mode for Windows 11 Home.
