Is there a way to disable the night light to not turn on at all? I can't bring myself to talk to the clock and wake my partner up asking Google to turn off the night light. I just want the rear light disabled as if the functionality never existed.
You can manually turn off the Nightlight feature on this Lenovo Smart Clock Essential by holding down the minus button on the top of the Smart Clock Essential for 6-seconds.

Can I easily control the nightlight feature, or is it automatically on during certain hours and cannot turn it off?
You can turn on/off the Lenovo Smart Clock Essential Nightlight manually, by holding down the minus button on the top of the Smart Clock Essential for 5-seconds. You can also use a Voice Command like Hey Google Turn On The Nightlight. You can increase the brightness (or decrease) by using a Voice Command like Hey Google increase the Nightlight brightness to 100 Percent.
