The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, model number 81WR000FUS does have an internal fan for system cooling. You will hear the fan when it is running, this is normal. You can use Lenovo Q-Control to manually control fan and system performance: ( Fn + Q ) option to change the fan by undervolting the processor.

Is it expensive to add a cd/dvd to this computer? My current laptop came w it already?

You can use an external USB-based Windows 10 compatible CD/DVD drive like this one with this laptop: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-8x-external-usb-double-layer-dvdrw-cd-rw-drive-black/5852919.p?skuId=5852919. Due to the slim profile of this laptop, there is no space internally for a CD/DVD drive to be installed.

is the stand adjustable for height?

No. There is no stand height adjustment with the Lenovo Q24i-10 Monitor. The screen tilts forward to a plus 5 Degrees and backward to a minus 22 Degrees.
