This is a Chromebook. It uses the Chrome Operating System which is already installed.

The product description describes the back as a cover. Is this a removable cover or is it permanently attached.

The fabric cover is permanently attached and is not removable.

Is this laptop suitable for Zoom meetings? Is there a microphone built into the laptop? Can a mic be used? Are the speakers loud enough to pick up on a digital recorder for transciption at a later time? Is there not an SD card slot?

The Lenovo Yoga 6 13 model number 82FN003TUS, ships with a 720p (HD) webcam with manual Privacy Shutter and Dual Array Microphones built in. A compatible external microphone can be used in place of the built in microphones. Whether the audio produced by the Yoga 6 13 system speakers can be picked up by an external recording device will depend on the capabilities of that device. There is no SD card slot within the Yoga 6 13.

The specs say the usb ports are 3.1 and in answer to a question Lenovo says they are 3.2. Which are they.? Will they work with a charging and HTML (HD or 4K) containing docking station?

The Lenovo Yoga 6 13 model number 82FN003TUS, ships with 2 x USB A 3.2 Gen 1 ports and 2 USB-c (1 with DP/PD/USB Functionality, 1 with DP/USB Functionality). You will want to use a universal USB-c docking station with this model.
