Hi Jess thank you for your question. The Lenovo Smart Clock is an always on device and requires internet and power to function. There is no battery. In the event of a brief power/wifi outage your repeating alarm information will be retained.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre A340-22 All-In-One system model number F0EA003RUS, ships with a wireless keyboard and mouse, that both use the same USB WiFi 2.4GHz receiver. The receiver is stored within the mouse battery compartment for shipping. The user will install the USB receiver into a USB port on the computer. Install the included batteries within the keyboard and mouse. Turn on the mouse and keyboard and they will work with the computer.
