I’m looking for $500 max laptop for school. I need a webcam, Microsoft excell for spreadsheets, 14 or 15 inch screen with possibility to add another screen. I don’t game or stream. However a lot of downloads for assignments. Bluetooth capability.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 15.6-Inch Laptop, model number 81UT00EAUS, is a mid-level, moderate use configuration, with its AMD Ryzen 3 3200U processor. This Dual-Core/Four-Thread processor has a base speed of 2.6GHz and a boost speed of up to 3.5GHz. This configuration has 8GB of DDR4-2400MHz RAM and a 256GB solid state hard drive. It is good with Microsoft Office type programs, internet browsing and other moderate work. This configuration ships with a 300p webcam and microphone built in. There is 5G, 802.11AC WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1 capability. There is a 15.6-Inch (screen size measured diagonally) LCD w/LED Backlight (Anti-glare) screen, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (FHD) and a brightness level of 220 nits. This model ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost.

it wasn't clear as to exactly how many usb ports there are. How many total and what type. Does it have ethernet port? And what about a charger ? Does it work for 120v and up to 240v ? Do i have to waste a usb port just to keep the battery charged ?

The Lenovo Yoga C740-15, model number 81TD0005US, ships with two standard USB 3.1 ports and two USB-c 3.1 ports, one with video out capability for connecting an external monitor. There is one 3.5mm audio combo jack for a headset. This model charges via a USB-c power port.
