I have tried both a USB-C to USB-C data cable and an HDMI to mini HDMI cable to use my portable external monitor. Neither works. C to C powers on but won't run and HDMI to HDMI does nothing. Any other suggestions? Thank you
Hey Robine13, if your monitor features a separate USB port that can receive power from the IdeaPad, along with a video connection, it should work. If not, unfortunately, since this IdeaPad does not feature a USB-C port that supports power delivery and DP Alt Mode, this system may not be compatible with your portable monitor.

Does 2-in-1 mean I can use the tablet feature to play a game that is normally only available on a mobile device and cannot be played on a laptop?
Hey Monica, it would depend on the game and if that mobile game is offered in the Microsoft Store. If the game is designed for mobile phones, it will most likely not run well or run at all on any device that doesn't meet the game publisher/developer's requirements. Hi Bet, depending on the app you wish to use, you should be able to. Other M9 users have downloaded book library apps like Nook and Kindle and enjoy their reading experience.

If the laptop is on a table, will the screen fold all the way back (or close to?)... want to know if I goes far enough back so that the screen can be slid under a docking station with a 6 inch clearance. Thank you

Can this laptop support two external monitors?
Hey elnene01RS, it should be able to support dual-external monitors, although you would need to use a USB adapter to the corresponding video port for one of the monitors. This IdeaPad features an HDMI port and a USB-C port, but the latter only supports data transfer. Let us know if you have any other questions!
