Can you turn the touch screen on and off, thus only being able to use the keyboard without fear of the screen accidently getting touched? And would this be the same answer for all cromebooks?

Is it possible to downgrade the computer to windows 7? I do not care about the manufacturer warranty, I am thinking about buying this computer as an experiment to see if I can downgrade my other Lenovo laptop without breaking it.
