If I burn a cd or DVD can I read it and can I copy another cd or DVD?

You can copy files to a CD/DVD drive. If you want to create your own music CDs and/or movie DVDs, you will need to add Media Player/Creator software, which is not included with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System, the operating system on this model. If you switch to Windows 10 Home, there still will not be any Media Player/Creator software. You will need to add the software.

Can this chrome book handle Microsoft office? Is it worth looking into or should I just move on from that idea? Thanks

Yes. This is a Chromebook. It uses Google Docs for office type programs. Google Docs is completely compatible with Microsoft Office Programs and this is a free service through the Google Server. If you must have the actual Microsoft Office Programs, you can purchase Microsoft Office 365 for this Chromebook at the Google Play Store.
