How come Lenovo’s website has two configurations of 8 or 16 gbs of ram but this version is sold with 12gb?

I purchased this laptop today, and one of the main reasons I got it was because it was advertised to include a 12 month subscription of office personal 365. However, when going through setup, only a 1 month trial is offered. How do I get the 12 mo?

is this model 1st or 2nd generation, very confusing but seems to be important when ordering accessorize, is 1st generation white and the 2nd generation black only

The battery is only replaceable by a certified technician, it is not user replaceable.
