You would need to take the hard drive out of the IdeaCentre 510A system, put the hard drive into an external drive enclosure, then you could use the hard drive as an external hard drive.

I currently have the Lenovo yoga720. It gets really loud with multiple functions going. Is C930 loud when working with multiple screens and programs going?

The sound you are hearing from your Yoga 720 is the internal fan maintaining proper operating temperatures while the Yoga 720 is working. The Yoga C930-14 also uses an internal fan to maintain proper operating temperatures. You will hear the fan when it is operating within the Yoga C930-14.
