I need a laptop for a new office job. I need something that will easily connect to a printer, run Excel programs, and let me research. It would also nice if I could stream music as well at the same time. Do you think this laptop would work for that?

This system with the Intel Celeron processor is an entry level, light use configuration. It is not meant for multi-tasking or demanding programs. We would not recommend this configuration for the work you describe. We would recommend you consider a computer with an Intel Core I-5 processor or equivalent. At the very minimum, if the Intel Core I-5 processor in not in the budget, choose a system with an Intel Core I-3 processor or the equivalent.

Are the speakers on top or the bottom or the side? My old Lenovo laptop has speakers on the bottom and you couldn’t hear it well without headphones

The speakers are on the bottom front edge of the device.
