Do both the Mica and Iron Gray models have Gorilla Glass for the screen? If not, what material? I can't seem to find any information on what type of material the panel is made out of other than IPS. It seems to be scratch resistant, but I cannot tell.

Both models of the Yoga C930 have standard glass panel screens.

Am i able to add a 8gb ram stick manually or do I need an expert technician? Really want this for my son for games and homework.

This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. Your certified technician will be able to replace the 4GB of RAM for an 8GB stick of RAM. To be sure this configuration will work for your son, be sure the games and programs he will need to install are compatible with this computer configuration and Windows 10 operating system.
