Turn the computer on, there must be power within the computer to power the CD/DVD-RW tray, press the button on the CD/DVD-RW tray door and release, the tray will pop open. Slide the tray fully open, insert the disc, close the tray.

Can the ram be expanded to a higher amount?

Yes, the maximum RAM this configuration can support is 16GB DDR4-2400MHz. There are two RAM memory slots within this configuration.

Does this laptop support java and apps that require java?
