Does it use wifi or can you have the wifi off?

The only time you will need an internet connection ( Wi-Fi) is when you set up the game with the" app" for the first time.The Star Wars Jedi Challenges does not need Wi-Fi to work.

Can other Virtual Reality games (such as FastHIt VR or Final Kick VR) work on this? Or will I need to purchase a different type of Virtual Reality headset and controller?

All game content available at time of launch is strictly within the Star Wars universe. Star Wars: Jedi Challenges offers one storyline taking the player through more than 30 challenges across three types of experiences. However, as this is app based, updated experiences and game modes will be available.
