The Star Wars Special Edition Yoga 920-14 has a battery life of up to 9 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. Under heavy use expect approximately 5 to 6 hours battery life. This is a high performance system with its Intel Core i7-8550U 4-core/8-thread processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid state hard drive. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal. You could put a skin on this device if you choose.

I-3 is a Brand name for a processor owned by Intel. Ryzen 5 is a Brand name of a processor owned by AMD. There are many different versions of the Intel Core I-3 processor. The AMD Ryzen 5 1400 processor within this model is a 4-core/8-thread processor. It has a base speed of 3.2GHz and a boost speed of up to 3.4GHz. The Intel Core I-3 Family of processors does not have a "boost" speed similar to this AMD Ryzen 5 1400 processor.
