This is a Chromebook. It uses the Chrome Operating System, not Windows. The maximum RAM is 4GB. The 32GB solid state hard drive is not upgradable.

Can you receive emails or text messages ? Does it perform like an android tablet,i.e., can you download apps fron google play store ?

It supports more than 1 million actions (which include most popular services like Spotify, YouTube, All Recipes, Maps... and many more). It also supports over 5000+ smart devices.Gmail and other email clients and texting is not supported at this time. To find all supported services and actions, visit assistant.google.com/explore. The Lenovo Smart Display is not like a standard Android tablet and currently does not support downloading of apps from the Play Store.

Does this have the Chrome browser installed or possibly support the Evernote app? I'm thinking no to Evernote since this is not pure Android but we have all our recipes on Evernote so if we cannot access that through Chrome that limits usability.

Does a tablet have HDMI out put abilitu.

The Tab 4, 10.1" doe snot have a HDMI port , but it doe shave a Micro UB port. If you would like to connect it to a TV you can use a Micro USB to HDMI ,MHL adaptor cable to connect to a newer TV. You can tell if this will work by checking the HDMI port on the TV for a MHL logo above it. If it has the MHL logo, you are ready to go.

Is there a way to make it work with a Note9? Also, we have an old ZTE Axon 7. Has anyone tried it with this phone?
