Please give any insights on a regular HD versus the Ultra HD displays. Battery life, normal web surfing, occasional movies. No gaming, minimal photo editing. The thought of Ultra HD is nice but I'm concerned about battery life and additional heat.

The battery life of the FHD 1920 x 1080 (FHD) version is up to 15.5 hours, and the UHD 3840 x 2160 (UHD) version is up to 10.5 hours. The battery life depends on the work that the device is performing. Obviously UHD resolution would have double the clarity of the FHD model. If you watch movies, view pictures or play games the higher resolution may be better for you. As far as the performance of both models, both have Core I-7 processors. The UHD model has a larger hard drive 512GB vs 256GB solid state hard drive. Both system have an internal fan to maintain normal operating temperatures.
