Pressing the LVT button on the keyboard while the system is running Windows launches the Lenovo Vantage Technology (LVT) Start Center utility, which is a program-launch bar that appears on the Windows desktop. The HDMI Button over the power button on the back switches the function of the dual combo HDMI port from input to output.

How do you customize the audio? I know there is an Audio Manager, but it doesn't seem to have much you can do to adjust the quality of the sound.

When writing with the pen in the tablet mode, I assume the keyboard would be facing out and on my lap. So I wonder if there's a problem with accidentally hitting keys or the touch pad with my knee/leg and causing some inadvertent action?

No, once the screen is rotated past 183-degrees and then into the tablet mode, the keyboard automatically turns off. It will turn back on when your screen is rotated back.

How can I connect the laptop through HDMI cable and LAN cable?

No, you will need adapter to connect this device to an HDMI device and to ethernet. This system has a Thunderbolt 3.1 port that carries HD audio and video and with an adapter, you can connect to an HDMI port. Additionally, you can use a USB to ethernet adapter to connect to ethernet.
