The Star Wars: Jedi Challenges headset is only compatible with the "Star Wars Jedi Challenges" at this time. Star Wars Jedi Challenges offers one storyline taking the player through more than 30 challenges across three types of game experiences. However, as this is app based, updated experiences and game modes will be available.

What does the blue light mean on the beacon?

The blue light on the beacon is for a future game. Your beacon should be set on "pink" for the game to be played. Have fun!

How does this work? It uses your phone screen or does it produce a hologram as shown in the pix?

The game works with a phone to help generate the whole gaming experience. You would be looking through the Star Wars: Jedi Challenges headset at a moving hologram image that you interact with.Battling Darth Maul with your Lightsaber, playing Holochess or playing Strategic combat.

Can someone explain exactly how this works to a Grandma. My 11 year old grandson is very much into computer games. Would this be a nice Christmas gift?

The game works with the Star Wars: Jedi Challenges headset and select smart phones. Please find the updated list of phones at jedichallenges.com/compatibility.The phone goes into the headset and the player looks through it and interacts/plays holographic games: Lightsaber battles, Holochess and Strategic combat.
The game is intended for people 13 and older.
