Concerning the LENOVO MODEL.80V50009 16 GB ,why do you need a fan on a computer that has a ssd instead of a hard drive? I read that ssd's did not need fans because they did not emit heat. Can you explain?

It is the processor, Graphics card and motherboard that generate the heat within the system and the reason for the fan.

When did this model entered Market? I have an HP laptop AMD A4 purchased 3years back.. Actually I wanted a laptop light weight and easily portable. Is this light weight ?

This model first started shipping in October, 2016. This system weighs 2.53 lbs. and measures 0.7" thin.
