can you downgrade OS to windows 7?

Why is the DVD Rom NOT opening let alone playing/loadings discs? How do I find out when my warranty is expired?

The system must be powered on for the CD/DVD door to open. Is there a disc in the drive that could be jammed in and preventing the door from opening? Could the door have been pushed closed out of alignment? There is a small pin hole near the top of the CD/DVD door that is a manual open. Use a pin to engage this manual open feature. Your warranty is 1-year from the date on your receipt. It is a limited warranty, covering OEM issues only.
