I connected the just-bought 720 to an HP 27" monitor 27es. I've tried playing netflix and amazon prime through the web browser and it looks super pixelated. Can this be helped with any settings on the PC or Monitor? Everything else looks nice and sharp.

Try viewing Netflix and Amazon Prime on just the computer screen. If the image is sharp and clear on the computer screen, you need to make adjustments to your monitor. If it still looks pixelated on the computer screen, check your screen resolution settings on the computer and make adjustments as necessary.
