Where are the speakers located on the computer and what type of audio does this system have? The reason why I asked is because the last laptop i got had speakers located behind the monitor and I could barely hear a thing.

There is one speaker within this device and it is on the bottom of the device. The audio is basic.

Can I add a 256 GB solid state drive to this computer?

This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. A certified technician can replace the existing hard drive with a compatible solid state drive.
