Some are claiming to get 8-10 hrs of battery on laptop with the 4K UHD. We are using battery saver, setting display@30-50% brightness & can't get even 6-7. Please advise what/how to improve this. Have updtd all software, bios, etc. SOS!!! Thx.
Check to see if programs are running in the background. This will drain your battery. Battery life is a function of the work the device is performing. Additionally, with regard to the battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.

When I have access to power, should I use the laptop plugged in (even if battery fully chgd) or will this shorten the battery's memory/life? Also, does it shorten the battery's life/memory if I don't fully discharge the battery before plugging in again?
The battery will stop taking a charge once it reaches 100%. Modern batteries no longer have a "memory", so you can begin charging at any level of battery charge and not create a problem.
