had this laptop for a week and the most annoying thing is the fan going off randomly from doing nothing, like idle or just browsing the internet. its an i7 it shouldn't be doing this!!! disappointing need help with this or else ill return!!!!!!!

This is a high performance system. If the system is turned on, the processor is working as is the GPU. Both of these processors will generate heat even at idle. This will trigger the fan to cool down the system. This is normal.

It is automatic. There is nothing to activate. It is the built in refresh rate of the screen.
