There is a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 on this system as part of the operating system. To keep the software active after the trial period, you will need to purchase a product key. You will not need to download any new software.

The screen on the Yoga 710-11 is breakable. You might want to consider the Yoga 900-13, it has a Gorilla Glass screen that is crack resistant. It is breakable, but much stronger than a regular glass screen. Here's a link to an example:
