Yes I would if the configuration met my computing needs. Shop processor first. Match a processor with the type of work you need to do with the system. Add enough RAM to get the maximum performance out of the processor you need to do your work. Everything else comes second to that. The rest is important but secondary to the processor and RAM.

What are the notable differences between the 700 and 710 model besides dimensions, dvi input, and video card (gt vs. gtx)?

The IdeaCentre 710 is the updated edition. The GTX designation of the graphics card on the 710 is a typo. It is the same GT 730 graphics card in the 700. There is a new case design on the 710. All of the configuration SPECS stay the same on the 710 version.

Why does the gpu say gtx 730 when there's no such thing as a gtx 730

The correct name of the graphics card in this system is Nvidia GeForce GT 730. The GTX notation on the Best Buy web page is a typo.
